Thanks for contributing to it. I was raised in a church that taught miracles don’t happen today. Then I experienced some, and my understanding of science became enlightened.

@@danweaver4304 Yes, it is weird when churches say miracles don't exist today, because a miracle to me is when the supernatural steps into the natural and makes a change. So, I would ask the churches, do you believe in being born again, or converting from darkness, to light. This is a supernatural event, and thus a miracle. So, I don't think these churches can live out their belief of no miracles today. Also, just one miracle can disprove their theory.

I really like the example you used about the ball, Cliffe. "If you find a ball in the woods, and I ask you, who put the ball there? And you answer, "no one"...that's stupidity. Someone had to put the ball there..." 😄 This really made smile and chuckle 😃 if you can't understand the example, or metaphor behind this example then I don’t know what will. I'd say to that person, "Okay, now you're just being "funny" and not wanting to admit that someone had to put the ball there...how can we otherwise know that the ball just magically appeared in the woods?" Good one Cliffe! 👍 I'll use that example as well when the time comes just so I can see that other person's reaction. 😄

I think Cliffe could articulate the camera analogy further. The study of evolution is the study of the person fitting all of the pieces onto the camera. If theres a better piece we develop, we will add that to the cameras we make going forward of course. But the "chance mutation" of a human eye is the same as a new photo censor on a camera. The only difference between the christian and atheist is, the christians says someone built the camera.

The statistical chances of all these series of even happening by chance to create what we have today is so astronomical that it’s virtually impossible. You can even roll it back to fundamental components of our universe like positioning of earth….and something like that would prevent life.

I like thinking about the domesticated dog vs the wolf. In my opinion, this is comparable to the Christian and the relativist. According to human relative beliefs, we may suggest that a domesticated dog is more evolved than a wolf because a dog's life is measured according to human standards such as longer life expectancy and a life lived with least pain as possible...But If humans were to become extinct instantaneously, then those same domesticated dogs would suffer as well because they lack the natural survival skills. On the other hand, a vicious wolf in a dog eat dog world, would prevail because survival is the only rule and natural evolution built the wolf accordingly. On this note, if humans believe that we can also "evolve" by loving and having rules then we are being just as foolish as a domesticated dog. The atheist or relativist must first establish the main goal. Are we to aim for a long life with the least amount of pain or should we become stronger on more natural scale which would ensure future survival. The relativist must decide what is most important and why.

@@darkeen42 decrease suffering and increasing well being for the individual? the tribe? or for future generations (including both good and wicked)? Does well being mean mental health, physical health, peace or happiness? What if suffering is required to benefit the well being of the masses? Back to my original comment, we can either domesticate with a plan/rules that exceeds lack of suffering and enhances well being, but we have to know why we are doing it. If we don't know why or where we are going, then living as a wolf, will serve more beneficial.

@@ericscaillet2232 Whatever it was, it had to be a series of practices that we could pass from one generation to the next. These practices could be considered "truths." If humans abandon these "truths" we will not be able to elevate. So when people say that there are no objective truths, that is our primitive nature wanting to drag humanity down and descend back towards chaos

The people are blind because of their sin. Never in life do we see something coming from nothing. It's amazing how naturalist that believe in what the can sense with their five senses soon become augmentative for the opposite if it agrees with their belief system. Not rational at all.

I think many didn’t understand that they have to provide positive arguments against existing of a god if they are defending atheism. Otherwise the best they have is agnosticism. Even if all your arguments not sufficient for them to reasonably believe in god existence that doesn’t mean there’s no god.

one experience and realization with God, will change a person in doubt instantly. then what seems as a non reality becomes real and that experience can grow the seed of faith and be shared with others for a testimony. also ...yes it is a agenda and tragedy, that these young people seeking education and knowledge are hoodwinked into believing lies their fed by professer's and teacher's, i cant understand how a professing athiest or agnostic is teaching "new testament" or any type of biblical class etc. not to mention whats deemed as "science" these days is just a melting pot of man's hypothesis and understanding of any given subject etc last but not least it amazes me how non christian, athiest, agnostic people tend to expect a christian to know eveyrthing about everything or else thier not takin serious in any reguard, at the end of the day "Faith in itself is a personal aknowledgment of believing something" some by blind faith believe things and others by faith in the evidence etc then thiers the faith of athiesm which is a faith and a new religion = but most of that belief will not aknowledge it as a reigion or faith because they dont want to be deemed reigious by religious people "go figure" honestly i think they have "super faith" because believing that man, animals, nature, earth, the firmament all came from nothing is beyond me or better said kinda like cliff "one of the biggest miracles ever"

@@aleciafinlayson6386 God must have caused it till the very real possibility that it wasn't god but some crazy thing like two dimensions smacking together or one being swallowed up by a black hole. There are many, many things in this universe we don't understand yet or where they come from, like gravity. We only know the effect, not the cause. That's where I see that argument is a pivoting one because I see it unlikely that he'll give up the premise it was God's doing but merely pivot off onto whatever mechanisms and quantum math that caused the big bang was then created by God.
