@thoratix63107 ай бұрын
@@jasonnoble7302 No ambiguous language, it's biblically sound. Besides, the point you made is irrelevant to the definitions this guy provided. You're talking about how human moral obligations (or what we think our obligations are) MAY be distinct from God's moral obligations. In reality, humans have the same moral obligation as God does, however, practically we humans cannot live up to the moral obligation God holds us to. And while we may have a different opinion on what we should or should not too, our opinion doesn't affect the moral duty God holds us to. Also, God doesn't really have a moral obligation in the sense that He must abide by it at all times. It's more accurate to say that God IS the moral obligation itself, He is the very objective moral standard He holds us to. So, demanding Him to abide by the objective moral standard (which is Himself), is like demanding me to have a brain.

Its because of sin and the distractions of the world. People have fallen in love with the wickedness in this world and are afraid to admit it and unwilling to correct it because well the problem is in us; oh how endorphic sin feels to please the flesh for a moment that one is incapable of thinking "how do I feel and how do I think?" and that is where power is, tending to the condition of the things we cannot see for the importance of the things we cannot see is faith. We all need to have a healthy faith in what is good in gods eyes, ive been turning away from my sin and I continue to daily for I know the worst things I could ever be is a hypocrite, a bringer of death, and a follower of what is not Gods will for me. We need not just count our blessings but be real to ourselves and count our sins and deal with them for we have the manual, need not be mistaken we have not been forsaken. I will fight the good fight!

There is power in the name Jesus. Just this night that I am commenting this, I had fallen asleep around 9:30pm, and I had awoken in a dream-like state but I was fully aware and capable. There was reddish tint covering my room and I saw a man’s face he was bald with a stubbly beard and to the left of him on the corner of my bed there was a tall shadowy orb and I was paralyzed. I felt immense fear and immense pressure on my body especially within my heart. I tried to move my arms, legs, tried to scream, tried everything. Nothing would work. I realized shortly into it I was under a demonic attack. I tried to yell the name Jesus but when I tried to open my mouth it felt like it was fulfilled with someone’s fist and my jaw was being overstretched. My arms were going numb. The shadowy figure absorbed everything putting me into complete darkness. As when I tried to call on The Lord it was trying to hush me. This went on for what seemed like 4 minutes but what was actually 25 minutes. I endured it while trying to call on Jesus Name, and it wasn’t until I thought of the Lord and said His name in my head 3 times in a row, that I completely snapped out of it. The darkness fled, I jumped awake and my arms were heavy, my chest was heavy, and I was afraid. Prior to tonight, I was having my doubts about the power of the Lords name, having doubts about the power of prayer until i had this experience. Let this be proof to you that there is power in Jesus Christ and darkness fears his name. Thank you Lord.

I had an experience somewhat like yours ,except I was asleep and dreaming that I was watching two children a boy and girl. An evil presence came into the room, you could feel the evil and it was in a colorful ball and the ball pulsated and became larger as the evil presence became greater. I got the children and put them behind me, picked up the broom and said I plead the blood of Jesus and hit the ball and the ball popped and I woke up. I could still feel where the oppressing presence had been in the room. Prayed to Jesus a prayer of gratitude. Satan doesn’t care about the unrighteous because he already has them, he just toys with them as a cat with a mouse, and they in their ignorance and confused state want to blame God. Those who belong to Jesus Christ, he tries to destroy but he can’t come at you straight, he’s got to come at you sideways. Jesus is too powerful. Jesus is Satan’s adversary not ours. We are just collateral damage in Satan’s war against God. Jesus is your shield, your sword, your buckler. He loves you and He won’t let you down.

The kid who asked the question about the camel passing through the eye of the needle, did not understand the context of what was being asked there. In ancient Palestine, the rich were considered favored by God if you had money, it meant that you were more likely to get into heaven, so of course it would be a complete shock to them to hear that even a rich man is unlikely to enter the kingdom of heaven. Which is why afterwards they ask “who then can be saved?” Jesus point there was not that money, corrupt, you and that, therefore having it lessens your chances of getting into heaven. Nor was he suggesting that somehow being poor, made it easier for you to get into heaven, he was illustrating how very, very very, very difficult and narrow the way into his kingdom.
@doobiedook6 ай бұрын
yeah cause especially in todays society sin kind of comes along with money for most people. Lots of wealthy people live sinful lifestyles and its harder to humble yourself and thank God for everything you have when you have so much. Likewise it's easier to stay humble and thank God for what you have when you don't have a lot, and each time you have a clean bed to sleep in or food to eat you know who is responsible and you want to give him all the credit for everything you have. Things just mean so much more to you when you're not used to having a lot, and it's easy to take credit for all of your accomplishments and not give glory to God when you basically have everything you could ever want in this life.

She was a cute little Holly Hobby type leaning forward as she strode forth with her back pack on her back. And for a long time I couldn’t figure out why I loved this child. But then the penny eventually dropped. It was because of her desire to obey and please her parents. She wanted to do her best and this was evident in the way she was walking. She was leaning forward and striding. It was touching seeing her trying so hard. And perhaps God particularly loves us when we try hard to please Him by offering Him our complete obedience.

Recently, relatively speaking, I received insight into God's nature hat I'd like to share, (in response to Cliffe's explanation of God being outside of time). I think it will help people better understand God's nature and perspective. I used to explain it the same way Cliffe did, that God is outside of time and sees all of time at a glance, and I still say that, but I follow up now with one of God's attributes - His omnipresence, which is actually how the bible describes Him, as being present everywhere. But here's the revelation I had regarding His omnipresense. God isn't just everywhere, but every WHEN. What I mean is, because He is outside of time, every moment in time for us, is his "right now". When we say He is ever present, it also means time. So our past is His right now. Our future is his right now. And it's because of His nature that He has freedom to work in any moment He chooses. God is not linear. So, He can see what choice we will make and WHEN we will make those choices and work things for our good and His glory. This is howJesus was able to choose Judas. In the book of John, he told the disciples he choose them and one of them will betray Him, speaking of Judas. So, because God has that ability to know what we will do, it doesn't violate our free will. He honors it and works things in His sovereignty to His ends, whether it's to judge some, bless others, free some, hold some accountable, lift some up , bring others down... But that's good news for us, but it means that God and work in the present to fix our future, and He can operate in our past to fix our present, because every moment for us, is His "right now" - He is ever present. It's always the present for Him. Again, that's great news for us because He knows when everything will run off the rails and can do something about it in spite of us. He can redeem the time, and He knows who will and won't choose Him, because He can see the end. It's both comforting and frightening to understand God's sovereignty, but whether it's comforting or frightening, I think, would depend on whether or not one has accepted Jesus Christ, because it would mean we would either face God as a Father if we are His, or a judge if we aren't. Just some food for thought, and I hope me sharing my insight and revelation helps.

For the first question. How do we know if what we want is ok with God?

I've built resistance to the fact God's unjust, one of the things I've had to deal with is coming to terms with the failure of my childhood hope in finding love

As we previously discussed, God is just. You were in an environment with spiritually immature Christians. To follow-up to our previous conversation... In Matthew 5:17-18 Jesus is trying to explain how the new covenant he eventually established is not an entire new book, but the next chapter that aligns beautifully with the previous chapters (and how there will eventually be a next-to-last chapter of the current creation and a last chapter with the new earth/heaven). Most humans are non-believers and spiritually immature Christians, thus struggle to truly see the Bible for what it is, to really utilize the Bible with the rest of God's creation together, etc. The Bible is both simple and complex, is a combination of literal and tons of different/profound figurative language, is past/present/future, has multiple literary styles (poetry, narrative, prose), etc. When humans treat the Bible the way it should be treated, it's the most powerful book in existence. Treat a baby like an adult and have that baby fly the plane you fly on. What happens? More than likely something catastrophic. Or treat an adult that's not a proficient pilot (and in the right mental state at the time) for that type of plane...and so on.

Just give up thinking and you will believe in anything they tell you

@@jasonnoble7302Actually, true Christianity empowers critical thinking, productive skepticism, etc. @Sweatwithinlace was previously in an environment with immature humans, and is working through it. Humans inadvertently misattribute constantly. Restart and grow the relationship with God together and be ready for an amazing life!

Lately, because of their newly found notoriety from George & Logan podcasts, more Student Believers are showing up, becomes more of a Bible study instead of getting Atheists/Agnostics to question their belief because of the evidence they give for GOD/JESUS….

Would love to see a debate from you with Aaron Abke about the Essenes & the Dead sea scrolls
@mlwilliams44077 ай бұрын
A thought-provoking discussion with Aaron and the Knechtles, Jordan Peterson, etc would be spiritually valuable for all. Aaron is currently a modern day Alan Watts...e.g. was a spiritually immature Christian surrounded primarily (if not exclusively) by spiritually immature Christians, started becoming aware of true Christianity (non-religious, The Way of Life that includes Taoism, etc) but unintentionally threw the baby out with the bathwater. Most humans are unaware of the Essenes, though not specifically called out, are probably who is in "the wilderness" during John the Baptist's ministry in Matthew 3, etc. The Dead Sea scrolls are the fascinating gift that keeps giving.

Dear Cliffe, I've been following your videos for a while and respect and admire much of what you do and say, perhaps most especially your quality that I perceive of as being an opened minded lover of truth....Love you as a felow believer in Christ...Now, how about the possibility that Christ already returned, contrarily to the perhaps cherry picked literal expectations (some of which would have very devastating consequences, as you are aware of), being unrecognized and unnoticed by those who failed to truly "watch" (obviously spritually, with "sanctified eyes"), fulfilling the following from Revelation 3:3: "...IF (with my emphasis) therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come upon thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know at what hour I shall come upon thee", among many other sacred Verses, that appear to condition true recognition with spirirual discernment and a state (obviously a spiritual one) of "searching", being ready to "open the door" upon "hearing His voice", being "awake", "praying always", keeping the "oil burning", "clothes on","testing the spirits", "knowing them by their fruit"...having the Lord reveal "what is hidden in darkness" and "unseal the Words" (demistifying what is understood only "in part")? Some of the most erudite, scholarly, devoted Christians and theologians have confessed, perhaps in rare moments of deep honest humility, that their traditional and literal understanding of the prophecies may be wrong, just as the Pharisees were about their expectations at the time of the 1st coming. By the way, we know from various Verses that the humble would be saved...If I may, I'd like to recommend a Return of Christ prophecies book: "Thief in the Night" by Wiliam Sears. God bless!

Do you know when a thief will break in your house? I have had four break-ins and not one time did the thief tell me the day and hour he was coming. That’s a thief in the night. Jesus’s coming back again will be just like what He said, you won’t know the day or the hour. Revelation 1: 7 says Jesus will come on clouds and EVERY EYE will see Him. That doesn’t read as incognito and He will be disguised.
