New sub! We have the same type of hair so I was glad to find you. Just installed my diy twists today. Literally hours ago... but I might have to redo a less dense section in the back cuz even though the twists are tiny, there's too much scalp for me. I'll be following your routine!

Glad I found this because I run and workout alot. My scalp gets dirty just a week in so max I could go without a wash and retwist is 2 weeks.

You are so welcome! Honestly, now I use the Royal Oils Scalp Elixir from Head And Shoulders or Rose Water and Glycerin spray from Heritage Store! They are my staples!

I’m so glad I stumbled on your post. I was actually looking for an alternative to a full head wash on my braid locs. About to do my first retire but until they are locked I was hesitant to do it. This is a great idea. Also, thinking of using a terry cloth to squeeze it down the length of the loc so everything remains odor free. Again. Thank you.

Yasss! It really helped my scalp! Today was my first re-tie! It’s been 5 weeks since I had my scalp washed lol I’ll post the video tomorrow!

I would recommend you look for fast hair growth shampoo to double hair growth.
