I don’t know why the “spore doesn’t work on grass” thing got ME tight. I wish that more people were aware of the communicative nature of the internet. Before typing anything, we all should pause and contextualize whatever we want to say within the physical. Imagine if whenever you make a random mindless mistake while playing one of your favorite lil’ games, dozens of strangers break into your room to aggressively inform you of the mistake that you are already aware of. If somebody doesn’t ask for an explanation, just don’t give them one. It’s just about having personal awareness and basic human empathy

That this form of backseating is a small example of how the internet causes people to subconsciously dehumanize others since their interactions are occurring in a non-physical space. It’s that near-universal cognitive dissonance that I’m really concerned about.
