We went to NYC’s Times Square to ask Americans who they thought the most beautiful TWICE member was! Who was the most popular?! Momo, Mina, Tzuyu, Jeongyeon, Dahyun, Jihyo, Chaeyoung, Nayeon, or Sana?! Who do you stan - let us know in the comments!!!

I'm European and when I first started listening to twice, I thought they looked a lot alike bc I wasn't used to Asian faces. After watching a lot of Korean and Chinese content, of course this has changed and I can see the uniqueness in South East Asian faces. As long as you're acknowledging that they do look very different from each other and that your brain just isn't used to Asian faces, it has nothing to do with racism. I think if a Korean person saw a picture of me and my girlfriends, they probably would have a hard time as well differentiating our faces. So I get why the people thought they all looked like twins. In addition to that I think those pictures are heavily edited to look more like the beauty standard in Korea to a point where their faces loose a lot of their uniqueness. That's why I think their choices were based on their haircolor and hairstyle and the way they posed and not actually their faces.

It’s because Americans don’t focus extremely on facial features like korean society. Like if you asked what the American standard is it would be “pretty face” which could mean 10000 different things.. whereas in Korea it would be “v line face, double eyelid, pale skin, medium bridged nose, etc.”

I'm really happy for Jihyo because during debut I think she had been called the "visual blackhole" which is already a terrible practice of singling out the least attractive in idol groups, especially when it's not true. Her and Jeonghyeon's beauty actually stood out for me at the time because i thought they were biracial since, to me, they don't have the typical Korean beauty. All Twice members are so very beautiful but if I also had to pick one, Jihyo's beauty stands out to me mainly because i like her anime-like eyes and smile, with Jeonghyeon a very close second because she looks so darn cute with short hair and equally as pretty with the long hair.
