Your first criteria should be if you have high interest debt, then a savings account to cover emergencies, then 401k up to employer match if offered, then max Roth IRA, then whatever (save for property, brokerage, start a company etc)

If you feel more comfortable having some cash cushion for emergency then build that up too. But know the best way to financial security is to not have high interest debt like credit cards that you’re consistently having to pay extra compounding high interest on. But chipping away at high interest debt while also putting into high yield savings is not a bad way to go. Purely up to you

though I invest some in crypto, what the black project manager said is not the correct way to invest. it should be in index funds and long term mutual funds/ETFs, and Fortune 500 companies. 5-8% is ok in crypto. if you're young and have the money, it's ok for you to invest 10-30% cuz you have your whole lifetime to earn more. for older people, IT'S A BIG RISK because they can't afford to lose their 10-30%.
