do you eat fresh cabbage often? I am from the Czech republic and I mostly see people here eating fermented cabbage. I have never had a head pf cabbage just lying around...
@dresden1234562 жыл бұрын
@@JelenaBraum raw we eat it shredded Coleslaw style. Fermented with carrots still eaten cold a bit like kimchi. Then we have a shitload of fermented warm dishes like stews, in pierogi, etc. Cooked but not fermented we do gołąbki- rice and meat wrapped in cabbage leaves and boiled, usually in tomato sauce. My mum also does fermented cabbage with potatoes pancakes which are delicious. I think we share a lot of these dishes across CEE.

A new way to eat it is stir frying it with teriyaki sauce or stir frying with fish sauce and garlic. So tasty with rice x

May I make a suggestion? When I buy ahead of cabbage, as with all my vegetables (thanks to Rachael Ray), I clean and chop them when I get home then put them in storage bags in the crisper. This way, your cabbage will be ready to go for any recipe! Drop it in ramen, in an omelet, make that rice dish from the beginning of the video. The uses are endless!

i′ve made the cold noodles & the cabbage pancake so far. i can't believe how good these dishes are. leftovers usually don't get eaten in my house, but we had noodles for three days straight―we kept the vegetables in one container, the sauce in another, and made fresh noods for each meal. i think at this point, ~90% of my cooking comes from this channel.

The first recipe omg tasted delicious, very easy to make and get this, THE PERFECT STRUGGLING MEAL. I had this markdown cabbage at the back of the fridge, went on a search for recipe and stumbled upon this video. I already have all the ingredients at home but it honestly costed next to nothing. Even with just an egg, the meal turned out very hearty. A lot cheaper than baked beans and egg. Cabbage costed like what less than a dollar?
