Awesome Aaron. Lived in Pusan in 1977-79 and there was a restaurant my wife and I walked to every Wednesday for this dish. I never had sweet and sour pork until I lived in Pusan. When I returned to the US and ordered it in a restaurant, it was a terrible let down. This is exactly the way I remember it in Pusan. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!!

@@AaronandClaire I will let you know how it turns out. I love your channel and I have recreated three of your recipes with success. When I lack the proper ingredients - I don't worry about it!!!! 😁 👍 We actually have a decent Korean Market where I live in North East Alabama, but Amazon usually comes through and delivers to my door! 😃

- frying tip for people who are nervous about frying - gently lay the tip of the meat in the oil, then lay it in AWAY from you, so if there IS any splash, it won't be back onto you - and NEVER just drop things into bubbling oil, that invites splashing and burning - Aaron - I asked you to do a tangsuyuk recipe when you made your quick jjajangmyeon recipe, AND YOU DID!!! I was waiting so long... but finally! And it's as easy and quick as I wanted it to be. Thank you, I will have to make this soon. I've made tangsuyuk before, but it was a horribly complicated recipe and took a LONG time to make, so I never made it again. With this quick recipe, I think I will be able to make it more often.

Pork tenderloin works great here and if your cut of meat tends to be more chewy - use about 1/4 tsp of baking soda to the marinade and it’ll make a huge difference. Thanks for the excellent recipe- and now I have a use for my bag of korean potatoe starch in my cabinet

Thank you Aaron and Claire for introducing me to Korean food. I wasn't much informed about the different foods they had and when I saw your channel I was inspired to try myself. I've done so many recipes since then and my favourite ingredient is fermented chili paste. I was so thrilled when I found it in an oriental supermarket and I've used so much of it! Your recipes are so easy to follow too, I love your fried chicken recipe and I have tried to improve it to my own and my families taste. I use potato starch all the time for fried chicken now and its SUCH a difference in crunch. I sincerely hope that over the years I'll be able to see even more videos from you guys. Don't stop what you're doing!! You're an inspiration to people like me that wants to learn more about foods all over the world.
