I loved watching the gentleman's adopted Japanese mannerisms, even if subtle. He was doing his best to represent the chef and hotel.

Haha thanks, I try my best, but the language barrier is a bit difficult, luckily cooking is a job that transcends language.

.and he has tattoos which is very rare in such a high end Japanese restaurant. 😁😎

Yes indeed it is, but it's becoming more common. Yoshihiro Murata has a program that accepts gaijins to train in the restaurants in Kyoto, many of them have tattoos. I'm trying to ask them if I can wear a longer sleeve chef coat but so far it's a no :(

@@mattosenpai7056 So inspiring! I'm amazed you are able to do this with the language barrier, you are very brave! Do you know if this would be possible for a pastry chef?

Lol this vid surprised me, i have seen sooo many different KZbin vids on various restaurants all around Japan , but this is the first one i ever saw that uses Nature as part of the dishes.😲 Its soo unique, . I always look forward to a Cathy Cat vid . It always makes my day and sometimes my night, (cause of time zone) so enjoyable ❤❤

He looks like an American but looks like a Dojo student or Naniwa merchant GJ . When Kawaii you said "Panna cotta" I laughed💕, but you knew that delicious way to eat a sashimi. I like this series.

Interesting choice of chopsticks for a high class meal. Never gotten that in the Ryokans I've stayed at.

Roxanne Blair Yes, but given that it is so poorly written, and comes from a channel with zero content... does it really matter?

Funny enough your name "Jimmy Richard" sounds more Gaijin. On the plus note, I'm Japanese, so don't get too angry over nothing, Jimmy Richard.

I agree. The disposable chopsticks has a rough texture that disrupts the texture of the food.

Love this series, but the camera man really needs to learn how to frame up straight, focus more quickly, and cut together shots where that's going to be too difficult to manage free-hand.
