It said it right there next to the card. I clicked the apply now button for the gold card and I got redirected to the Amex website and applied, and it said 75k when it sent me to the Amex website as well.

2020 has been good for me when it comes to credit cards. it has allowed me to bank so many points. I understand that everyone is not in the same boat as me, I didn't lose my job or any income at all, and when travel comes back I will have the run of the world. Unless they seriously devalue these points. And surprisingly a lot of these points came from bonus categories directly as a result of the travel shutdown.

I am banking a ton of AMEX MR and Hyatt points for an eventual Around-The-World flight(s) flying some of the longest commercial flights on record. That would be the Qantas flight from LHR-PER and then the Singapore Airlines flight from SIN-EWR. Plus I want tp fly over the north pole!! I would spend a couple of days in each stop to do the tourist thing! No Player 3 this year, but a player 5 instead. But that player 5 has four legs!!! (as does players 3 & 4). I might get the AMEX Platinum within the first six months of 2021. I just found out the Cruise Purchase Program (CPP) and want to start planning, making down payments on the next cruise (when that comes back)!!!

There is not much value to spend money to get airline status because there may not be much travel (or restricted travel) next year too. Best bet is AE Hilton Aspire or other Hilton cards because points go toward hotel status for the next 2 years and also goes toward LIFETIME DIAMOND STATUS (which does not happen under normal circumstances). Achieving lifetime diamond status still takes a lot, but this is the fastest way to get closer to that nearly impossible goal. Forget getting 4% back on groceries, etc. Lifetime Diamond is worth way more.

It's a Christmas Eve 2022. American Express has that new pre-approval website going. They do a soft pull and tell you for sure if you're approved. Then if you're approved and you accept it's a hard pull. Anyway... Over a period of several hours I filled out my info and submitted for the American Express Gold when the bonus was 60,000 points. I was approved, but withdrew my application. A few hours later I did it again and the offer was $75,000 points. Again I was approved and withdrew my application. I got a email from them with a link and when I opened it I could see all of my American Express applications and the results, including the two withdrawals today. A couple of hours later I did it again and the approved offer was 90,000 points. I accepted it 😄😄 Great card to have, really happy with the result of my patience.

I added two cards (apple and Amex blue cash preferred), did a couple credit limit increases, a product change (to a freedom flex) and my next new card is in late January (likely the free version of Amtrak since the pts have good value and do not expire, I need an ‘anything else’ card). Have you heard anything about what the travel cards might do? Debating getting one of the chase sapphires or an Amex charge card but they are so travel heavy it would be throwing money away if it is no better than, oh, the freedom flex right now. I liked chase doing a DoorDash thing since we use them but given it is not a permanent benefit it is not like a new benefit. Amex has grubhub but it did not have anything I liked.

In 2020, I got the following cards: 1. Amex Delta Gold 2. Amex Amazon Business Prime 3. Apple Card I got the Amex Delta Gold back in January because of a 70k targeted offer. I was also supposed to be traveling in April and flying Delta, but that fell through because of the pandemic. Over the summer, I opened the Amex Amazon Business Prime and the Apple Card. Going the Amex route means that the card does not show up on your personal credit report and that you don’t use up a 5/24 slot. I shop at Amazon and Whole Foods all the time, so I’ll frequently use the card. I got the Apple Card because I bought an iPad and I wanted to be able to pay in monthly installments. I opened it when the bonus was $50 after making an Apple purchase. My purchase was a Star Trek classic communicator ringtone for $0.99.

Get a secured card i.e. Capital One secured, Discover it secured or one from your local credit union. You'll have to put about $200 down up front in most cases. Give it time and you'll (we'll) be in the 700s! 🙏🏾

I was going to wait to see if chase was going to come out with a bonus higher than 80k points, or maybe a new product. But, I think the logic in this video has persuaded me to take the bird in the hand, so I’ll go ahead and apply. I might be a day late, but if I got a pre-approval email that says I have until Dec to apply, does that mean I could still get the 80k bonus beyond Nov 8?

Have a justification for why so many cards and more specifically why you want the JetBlue. Make it sound like you really want that card and try to have an attitude that you'll be using it long term. Reference the spending categories etc. Don't sound like a churner. Barclays is pretty conservative so good luck.
