Hi Sebby. Great video. I use the Amex Blue Business Plus which gets 2x on all charges upto 50K. Then if you transfer that to Hilton using Amex MR points, you get 2x again. So its 4X overall versus 3X on the Aspire. For large property tax payments, the difference can be big or as you would say 'well worth the squeeze'. I am sure you know this, so its for those who don't.

🥥 for having two reservations at a hotel for multiple tries at upgrades, do they let you stay in the same room if they don't upgrade you? and what about the reverse? the first reservation is upgraded but the second isn't.

No, the first room was already accounted for so we wouldn't have stayed regardless. If you want to stay in the same room, let the hotel know ahead of time that you have two reservations.

🥥 Great video. We flew Air France premium economy to Paris and we felt that was great for our redemption point about 35k points for each. Flew standard KLM economy on the way back and it is a big difference. Using my Chase Freedom and IHG cards and not sure what my next card is yet. My player 2 just grabbed the elevated Delta Gold so we are working on that.

🥥 Five stars for Lovecraft and Cthulu! I'm recently retired and downsizing. Could you address this topic? When spend is low, rewards mean less, and minimum spends are harder to hit. Keeping my Schwab Platinum for benefits, may keep Gold because the benefits are also easy. Aspire is on the fence, maybe lose all Citi cards, keep Capital One Savor and Quicksilver for foreign spend, USBAR questionable. Thoughts?

I would keep anything that's no annual fee. Depending on your travel plans, I'd probably consider rotating between premium cards - especially given the bonus clocks. i.e., maybe cancel Platinum and go for CSR / Venture X => etc. USBAR is ~breakeven but really depends on how much spend you're putting on the cards. Citi cards can be downgraded in most cases to Citi Custom Cash; so I'd probably do that.
