I danced with my wife to “Come Away with Me” in May 2003. When the song ended I knelt in the middle of the dance floor and proposed. Twenty years later we still listen to that song and album together from time to time. So I have a lot of gratitude for Mr. Levy. Thank you for an awesome interview, Zac.

Mr. Levy's personality is different, but his playing reminds me somehow of Bill Frisell. Would be neat to see them play together. Nice interview. Mr. Levy seems like a nice guy.

I agree, similar in feel , but the sound shaping is just his touch.

Great interview Zac! I've only recently discovered Adam Levy and have fallen in love with his playing. So concise, tasteful and musical. I say "discovered" loosely, because apparently I've been a huge fan of his work without knowing who it was playing all those great licks.

Wow, what a cool start with his Granddad. As most of the best in their field, Adam seems humble, kind and down to earth. Great to hear this chat.

Wonderfully informative interview but the cherry on top is that 335 through your beautiful Harvard! That middle position especially was to die for, wow.

Zac, you’re my favorite interrogator. Long time fan of Adam. The Joey Barron connection was kinda mind blowing. His journey has indeed been amazing. I find the best content to be both informative AND inspiring. You ring both those bells VERY consistently. Thanks as always!

Wonderful interview with a musician of great talent and integrity. Adam didn’t mention it but Laurence Juber’s wife is the daughter of Sherwood Schwartz, creator of Gilligan’s Island. For which his grandfather wrote the theme song. Thanks for putting this interview out!

Hi Adam, thanks for all the good thoughts! Your input & playing has really opened my ears! I played Classical for many years, & also a jazz lover, especially classic Blue Note catalog You mentioned Jim Campalongo, New to me! Got me on to "Spanish Eyes". This tune & Rye Cooder, young , w/Flacco J. has given me a new approach to Jazz. We can learn so much from a " simple" I - IV - V, A breath of fresh air.
