thats because in DS1 he never "played" it, he poised it. Literally used giants armor through basically the entire thing and poised through attacks with a Zwei so he doesn't understand patience and rolling.

Also I think he used Stone Guardian armour. But they don’t really have much of a difference other than looks.

I can understand that he's overwhelmed by Iudex Gundyr. Coming from DS1, the pace is really different and the game expects/encourages you to be much more aggressive in DS3. I completed both for the first time DS1 and DS3 recently in that order and also had a really hard time with Iudex Gundyr while I beat Champion Gundyr first try. By then, you just understand more how the game works I guess.

Well, this comment is the perfect proof that difficulty is subjective. I had 0 issue with big lizards and Vordt just falls prey to the "circle round, hit em in the butt" strat. Lizards can be easily dodged and do fairly negligible damage with a lot of their attacks. Vordt, Tree, Witch, Gundyr all have an element of surprise thing, that can fairly easily kill you and takes at least a bit of time to recognize and learn. Not that they're insanely difficult, but the lizard is most definitely easier. That's like saying Micolash is a harder boss than any other BB boss.

@@dowfreak7 if you get surprised by the tree, ur bad. Vordt can only kill you if you arent fast enough to dodge him, which is much easier to do then the lizards. Which do have an element of surprise, they manifest crystals out of nothing that get you off guard. Gundyr is basic dodging and snacking, he can also be parried and blocked for the most part, which makes him incredibly easy to deal with. As for the witch, you just run up and hit her. If you honestly had issues with these bosses, you might want to try playing better.
