How to get into Asmongold's Guild. Give him stuff. At some point, you get enough hearts, an event occurs, once invited to the group, finish the story chain and rest one day. You will get an invite to the guild and require gold offerings to Asmongold to remain in the guild and raid. Also he will require you to let him have all the gear first so don't play a plate/melee/mail wearing class.

It is virtually impossible. Extremely low drop rate, and the vast majority of people are are not going to be lvl 60 for months, meaning you have less people potentially farming the thing to begin with. Also, nevermind the plan itself, or needing the blacksmithing lvl. What about the arcanite bars? Even on pservers.. it takes weeks post launch for enough people to get those alchemy CDs rolling in, and you need a lot of them. I would be surprised if he even had it month 1.

the only thing i've learned in the past 1-2 weeks of seeing asmongold react / play is that A, he gets everything, and his fans just let him do it. And B, his mom was the reason he had anything when he played

I will get my pre raid BIS set but there is no way i'm buying all the enchants for blue gear. Buying expensive enchants for blue items is a waste of money so don't do it unless you are rich.

Then join a casual raiding guild. Most casual raiders are likely going to feel the same way... but if most people in a 40 man raid refuse to enchant anything until raid gear, then it is going to be extremely noticeable on clear times.

If asmon plays on the same server as the horde pvp streamers he will probably have to go to booty bay to buy his devilsaur on the neutral market. maybe apes can carry it for a while and bring some leathers but i'd say seren and his boys will be allover that shit for the first month or two.

If you think 10k gold in classic is crazy look up Grunticus (orc hunter) from Mal'ganis, he gold capped like 3 chars and bought himself and guildies naxx runs.

Yes, but it was also rumored that he likely bought most of it (or at least enough to buy control of the server's economy). The gold farming market was absolutely massive back then... and it begs the question as to who was really buying such insane amounts of gold all of the time to make it worthwhile, even after farmer bans to remake accounts and hit 60 again. All we ever got were screenshots and his 'word'. Getting 600k+ gold would require more time than vanilla was out for, imo. Even in TBC, trying to hit 100k was absolutely mind boggling.

10k gold isnt hard in vanilla lol i had 18k despite i brazenly spent money.. i didn't even farmed that hard all you need is an enchanter warlock doing maraudon runs. it was 100-120g per hour for my server.

Just a feeling, but I don't think the layering will be doing much by level 60. I hope not anyway. If it is, then it goes against what (I think) Blizzard have said, in that layering was only supposed to get them through the initial launch log jam. By the time you are farming Devilsaurs, I hope to God there is no layering, and people are not exploiting/taking advantage of the mechanic. I'm also going to side with Asmongold on the speed of progress through raiding and how long it will take most guilds to down Onyxia. I am sure that the top guilds will blow through the game faster than the first time through, but I bet that at least 50% of the players that think they will be in a "Top" guild and beat the game in a few months are going to come crashing down to Earth. I'm hoping those top guilds get through everything, get bored, and then leave, so that the rest of us can enjoy the game without min/maxing, and go along at our own happy pace.

How do you figure? Layering is 3 instances of the entire world. There will be 3 fishing competitions (escort quests proved this), 3 STV chests (streamers have proven this), 3 instances of resources and mobs to farm/cycle (clear as day based on any footage or feedback we've seen so far). Layering will affect lvl 60 way more than it does the leveling process. Gold inflation will be real with 3 instances of hearthglen being farmed if nothing else xD

@@someone-ji2zb But they have said that they are only going to use layering to alleviate the congestion of the starter areas. They are not going to use it to raise the population cap of the servers. in the beta they have layering in place because they are testing it, but it isn't going to be (as far as I can see) a permanent feature. I understand how it works, but the Classic team have been very responsive to the demands of the players and once everyone gets to 60, layering is effectively no different to sharding, and if they are going to do that, I am going to be a lot less happy about playing it. If you can exploit it, then it should be removed from the game, and I think the #nochanges crowd will get behind that in spades.

@@TheToledoTrumpton No, you need to read up on what they said. Layering is a copy of of the entire world. You are thinking of sharding being able to affect only specific zones of their choosing. Layering operates on a completely different level and artificially increases the overall server cap based on the layer count.

@@someone-ji2zb I know what layering is, but they have said that they are specifically NOT doing it to raise the server cap. They are only doing it to alleviate the initial congestion in the starter areas. They are using layering rather than shading, because they think it will remediate some of he worst problems with sharding, where the players get resorted between shards when they change zones. Layering will, they think, mean that players will not change layers, in relation to other players very often. My own view is that as soon as people find out what will cause them to change layers, it might as well be sharding. It might be a little more involved, but people will be jumping layers all the time. It will be a shit-show. From my point of view (and a lot of other people's I think) that would significantly affect gameplay and the feeling of community, let alone the way it can be abused to create private layers for large guilds, or respawn resources or mobs by manipulating the creation of new layers. I think Classic servers will be deserted inside a few weeks, if that happens. If Blizzard have said somewhere that layering will still be used at 60, then please point me to it, because it will save me the trouble of levelling a character. I wont play it. It is an absolute game-changer for me.

He didn’t do much in vanilla, he wasnt a day 1 player and was a warrior not leather worker. Also wasn’t a pserver player, so isn’t a 100% nerd about everything vanilla.
