One thing I'll say about the Unbreakable video: My friend played a Shaman in vanilla and always felt utterly inferior. He hated the class. Then he saw the Unbreakable video, immediately respecced to enhancement, got a good 2 hander and fell in love with his class.

@Alistair Bolden Because warriors scale with gear, shamans don't really for the most part. But in a 1v1 it has nothing to do with class strength or gear in Classic WoW. A good player can whoop ass as any class with shit gear against a man-baby with full raid gear. Just a thought.

Asmon has no idea how often Windfury procs in Vanilla. They don't even need to be that geared, just get a weapon with high top end damage. Asmon would get wrecked by a Shaman in half blues and an Unstoppable Force.

there was a guy...gnome warlock by the name Anorix.. to all that played on Cyclone battle group...the man was a God...he was on pve server...asked/begged from many pvp guilds best in the world to join them...he never did...he never made video s...he was soloing Swifty so many times that he gave him nightmares...i saw him losing two or three duels in over 2 years...never did i see a player like him ...in any videos or high arena ratings...he never went to tournaments...he was running away from attention of any kind...he had a team score of 378 wins 1 loss when he became arena master....there are top players in the world and i have been around to play with many....but that guy...Anorix...the story on our server went that he was from another planet hence why he never wanted to play tournaments or be in spot light...but the guy dominated all...and i mean...all.!! just ask Swifty... :) Anorix...the absolute God of WoW pvp...

Rakeem Beserker shamans were not beast in vanilla. Ele and resto were good, but enhance was literal trash tier. You were laughed at if you played enhance without BiS. All these people jerking off shamans are in for a laughably huge, rude awakening.

The sad thing about google videos is the the videos are still on youtube, but during the migration they were set to private by default. So they are for sure on a hard disk in a datacenter somewhere, but we will never see them again because the people that made them have moved on.

That video of pat was actually when there was a glitch in the talents. You could get 31 in one tree and 21 in another. So he was overpowered af for a few days.

Fire mage: macro with full tier 2 armor, combustion, talisman of enphermeal power, and there was another trinket - put some scorch debuffs on and pop the macro - Instant shot death.

Warrior beats Enhancement Shaman in a outright battle. Shaman beats Warrior if he's clever, using searing totem in line of charge to deny said charge - Earthbind totem +Frost Shock - trinket the hamstring and kite him in a circle until he's dead. Much easier as elemental with 1-1.4k shocks

The Maydie thing needs some information added. At the time there was a flaw with rogues where you could cycle control using preparation to double blind and reset diminishing returns. Almost anybody would die to a rogue that exploited this unless you knew just how to break the CC chain, or had a class skill to assist with it. His chain of CC didn't work on all classes, or all types of gear. It was broken and stopped by a good trinket use, and if it failed he had to sit back for 10 minutes and wait to try again. Basically, he cherry-picked targets and used an exploit in game mechanics to stop an opponent from fighting back, then claimed it was skill. It was just the knowledge that prep reset blind, plus knowing diminishing returns. That's it. If you understand what he was doing, then you know it's not impressive.

As far as the shaman vs warrior discussion. Asmon makes a good point with warriors having consistent high damage and can get lucky. Whereas in the Shaman pvp video it was clips of just getting lucky procs/crits.

I played a warrior in vanilla, had my near BiS Arms gear and was wrecking BGs like a god with private healers on my back. I once met an Enhancement shaman in AV that rode straight at me with Might of Menethil in his hands, I charged him off my mount and as the stun wore off, I died. One hit, one kill. Windfury shamans can indeed one shot plate characters with ease in the RNG proc world that is classic WoW.

As a main Shaman in Vanila who played all 3 specs to its fullest potential in end game, Enhancement was the worst of them. When WF was Broken it basically deleted the opponent on every 20 fights or so which was hell of fun. Unfortunately if you weren't lucky you would die easy as in melee you were not very durable. The RNG mechanic was a thrilling game to play, but the really good stuff was Frost shock. As a Shield, Mail user who can heal, spawn instant spells from range was the true monster to reckon with. Elementalist was like a battle mage, durable but now very mobile. Unbreakable was good for Enhancement player, but Elementalist could do the same far more often from a safe distance :)

what they fail to mention about Pat in this video, what chat remembers though is that while yes it was fucking epic it was also exploiting a bug that allowed Warriors a 52nd talent point allowing him to pick up both Death Wish while still being a fully spec Arms warrior with Mortal Strike. Granted he claims only 5% of the video he had the talent because the bug was hotfixed within the day. Still....

Warriors only really come online at level 60 with gear. Believe me, enhance shamans are a scary thing to come across....

The most scary thing ever in classic will be when you see an enh shaman running to you and you are a class with no escape in your kit like a mage, kz you know you're gonna get 1 shot.
