The PvP in Pandaria sucked dick. It was literally tank v tank. On top of that, there was a 6 month content drought that literally forced everyone to PvP while they waited. It took forever for people to die, and it was a literal CC battle nightmare. I still have nightmares from it. I literally grinded to 45k kills cause i was so bored with the expansion... then ended up quitting.

Cata That said, I had the most fun playing Classic and Legion, as that is where I played the game more serious and raided and PvPd quite a bit. ppl under me said there is no correct order and I agree. the beautiful thing about this game is that theres something for everyone. I loved challenging 5-man dungeons and long dungeon crawls, thats why I like most about this game.

The hate for MoP isn't deserved. The storytelling throughout the zones was excellent, among the best of any expansion. All of the stories for the zones came together well and led into the dungeon and raid stories. The zones looked excellent and had perhaps my favorite music. Classes felt pretty darn good for the most part. PvP wasn't perfect but was fun. I enjoyed scenarios. I felt more immersed in MoP than in any other expansion.. overall (BFA has some great story immersion moments). The main issue I remember from MoP was the layered rep grinds initially at level cap. I still create a new panda now and then just to have fun going through the initial turtle island zone again. So much fun.

15:25 It's not (necessarily) hacking, everyone knows how you could get to the airport close to Ironforge, and going there you could go further to a huge area that did not merge well together at all. The terrain was fucked up, but you could go further to the little village between Ironforge and Wetlands. There was signs saying "This way" "That way" etc. There was also a cave you could enter. At the end of the cave there was litterary nothing. Just a huge open void. Jumping into the void made me fall across the map, eastwards, until I hit water. I was unable to drown, which made me a bit nervous. However I could move my character until I died from fatigue. (I think it was close to the sunken temple).

I consider Mop to be the last wow expansion. It was Warlords that introduced many new elements to the gameplay that I strongly do not care for. Every expansion has at least one huge positive change Legion's was Mythic+ keeping 5 man dungeons relevant and challenging , rewarding and allowing those who don't like to raid to continue to progress.

I dont get why asmon hates the lfg system so much, its helped me out tremendously. Way better than sitting in the main city spamming chat for 45mins too find out your healer has too go. Little biased because I got pound fist through the lfg system and its saved me a tremendous amount of time overall. Asmon has twitch as his Lfg he just doesn't want us too have one lol.

From a PvP perspective cataclysm is probably the best expansion. It took all the features of wotlk and improved upon them, like rogues having to use smoke bomb / los to restealth after gouge instead of gouge just lasting long enough to restealth, hunters not having to macro weapon switch for deterrence or in general have a macro just to switch pets. Basically for everything they "simplified" they did so in such way that you could still outplay your opponent. The game isn't balanced for 1v1, and some classes does have innate advantages against others, but bar healers you could 1v1 any class as any class and this translated well over to arenas as well.

Ian Hazzikostas (sp) thinks that being able to have people play with anyone from any server is more important than people playing with the same people onthe same server over and over.. which is foolish. Vanilla/TBC were fantastic because there was notoriety on each server (then battlegroup), it was so much better. people had fame and infamy, and guilds were somethign to look up to on your own server.

Mists of Pandaria brought Battle pets, Flexible Raids (!!!!), Mythic Raid Format, Brawler's Guild, Proving Grounds, New Talent System, among many other things. Not my favorite theme, but definitely one of the expansions that came out truly with the most changes. Felt really like a brand new expansion and most of the changes were really good ones. The expansion also had a very rich story, scenario, music, and great raids too. Sorry, but MoP was definitely one of the best expansions.

And that was it, that was the End of the Game with Extra Content cleared.

I really don't like the live version, but man, you have to give credit where its due and blizzard did a monumental amount of work within the last 20 years. In all honesty, dungeon finder destroyed the game. I personally loved manually finding a group for dungeons/raids. For one anyone that was looking to go to a dungeon would be hanging around cities, thus populating the cities. Now with dungeon finder you can just stroll where ever, just grinding away alone, and get into a dungeon with no interaction. Having players form their own groups basically forced them to interact in some way.

MoP was great. Garrison's were a cool idea as far as illustrating how strong your characters had become, but they fell so flat. CRZ and evolving worlds are cool if you're playing by yourself but miserable for trying to make it feel like you are playing with other people. So many times I couldn't play with my friends because we were in different instances of a zone.

People laughing on the stream about the vanilla experience with your friends and such, how unreasonable an expectation it was, but in vanilla and TBC I managed to pull 15 real life friends from my hometown, their girlfriends, etc, and only like 3 of us were technically gamers/nerds/whatever. It got most of them into gaming, and we managed to raid all the way up until mid-TBC when my PC broke and I chose to take a 12 year break from the game. Now I pretty much play the game with my brother, 2 friends and a bunch of PuG randomers. It will never be the same experience today, but fuck it, I'm in my 30's now. Most of my friends simply don't have the time to play an MMO anymore.

Mainly for visibility, same for most bosses all over. Kael'thas also good example. He's nothing taller then a normal blood elf, but his boss form in the raid was about 3x normal height yet his dungeon version was about 1.5x the size. Scale in wow is not really a thing, at all. Compare Stormwind to the one depicted in the movie. It's the difference of a city with hundreds of citizens versus one with 10.000's. But we have to pretend it's like in the movie.
