I started in vanilla and quit almost a month or two after. Was boring, I came back for TBC, played through to WOTLK and quit at the end of it because I started smoking pot, and having sex in school, and came back at the end of WOD beginning of Legion because why not

I feel you man I was here since vanilla and the only thing I didn't like about MoP was the Pandas. I was playing warrior, so it was great because warriors couldn't die in MoP with all the self-heals lol. best xpac for me too gameplay wise

The aesthetic was bad at first but the content itself was actually great, along with class design and the dying breath of PvP before WoD killed it.

The PvP in Pandaria sucked dick. It was literally tank v tank. On top of that, there was a 6 month content drought that literally forced everyone to PvP while they waited. It took forever for people to die, and it was a literal CC battle nightmare. I still have nightmares from it. I literally grinded to 45k kills cause i was so bored with the expansion... then ended up quitting.

I remember launch day everyone was getting stuck looting and iceskating around on their knees, not being able to do anything for hours. Being stuck in the starting area for the first few hours. Just knee skating. Great times.

Cata That said, I had the most fun playing Classic and Legion, as that is where I played the game more serious and raided and PvPd quite a bit. ppl under me said there is no correct order and I agree. the beautiful thing about this game is that theres something for everyone. I loved challenging 5-man dungeons and long dungeon crawls, thats why I like most about this game.

How about there is no "correct order" because for me cataclysm was great because it felt good while wotlk was behind tbc, cata and classic because i just hadnt that much fun with it even though i was equally "successful" in both expansions. And indeed a huge amount of people love mop but i hated it really much. the only expansion i canceled for a few months

To be fair. I looooved cataclysms zones. That's about it. But yeah. BC, and Wrath were definitely WoW's prime. As for gameplay/story. And when it still had the hardcore MMO feel. Not seen today. IMO

Shaman only needed dual wield because they could only use 1hand and a Shield or use 2Handed weapons. So we needed Dual Wield. They Disabled 2Hand weapons an made it only work on Dual wield.

From a PvP perspective cataclysm is probably the best expansion. It took all the features of wotlk and improved upon them, like rogues having to use smoke bomb / los to restealth after gouge instead of gouge just lasting long enough to restealth, hunters not having to macro weapon switch for deterrence or in general have a macro just to switch pets. Basically for everything they "simplified" they did so in such way that you could still outplay your opponent. The game isn't balanced for 1v1, and some classes does have innate advantages against others, but bar healers you could 1v1 any class as any class and this translated well over to arenas as well.

15:25 It's not (necessarily) hacking, everyone knows how you could get to the airport close to Ironforge, and going there you could go further to a huge area that did not merge well together at all. The terrain was fucked up, but you could go further to the little village between Ironforge and Wetlands. There was signs saying "This way" "That way" etc. There was also a cave you could enter. At the end of the cave there was litterary nothing. Just a huge open void. Jumping into the void made me fall across the map, eastwards, until I hit water. I was unable to drown, which made me a bit nervous. However I could move my character until I died from fatigue. (I think it was close to the sunken temple).

The hate for MoP isn't deserved. The storytelling throughout the zones was excellent, among the best of any expansion. All of the stories for the zones came together well and led into the dungeon and raid stories. The zones looked excellent and had perhaps my favorite music. Classes felt pretty darn good for the most part. PvP wasn't perfect but was fun. I enjoyed scenarios. I felt more immersed in MoP than in any other expansion.. overall (BFA has some great story immersion moments). The main issue I remember from MoP was the layered rep grinds initially at level cap. I still create a new panda now and then just to have fun going through the initial turtle island zone again. So much fun.

I consider Mop to be the last wow expansion. It was Warlords that introduced many new elements to the gameplay that I strongly do not care for. Every expansion has at least one huge positive change Legion's was Mythic+ keeping 5 man dungeons relevant and challenging , rewarding and allowing those who don't like to raid to continue to progress.

MoP was great. Garrison's were a cool idea as far as illustrating how strong your characters had become, but they fell so flat. CRZ and evolving worlds are cool if you're playing by yourself but miserable for trying to make it feel like you are playing with other people. So many times I couldn't play with my friends because we were in different instances of a zone.

Mists of Pandaria brought Battle pets, Flexible Raids (!!!!), Mythic Raid Format, Brawler's Guild, Proving Grounds, New Talent System, among many other things. Not my favorite theme, but definitely one of the expansions that came out truly with the most changes. Felt really like a brand new expansion and most of the changes were really good ones. The expansion also had a very rich story, scenario, music, and great raids too. Sorry, but MoP was definitely one of the best expansions.

mop pvp was the best ever. (almost?) every class/spec was playable. My buddy and me played arena and battlegrounds all day with so many different comps and classes. It was fun with any of them!

So I’ve been on the fence about buying a pc to play wow. When I was deployed I played wow on my laptop a little on my down time. That was back in 2013-2014. My question is, if I start to play, will I play the old expansions and work my way towards the new content? Or am I just jumping into the story as it is now?
