Oh boy i have some bad news for you, both shoes were probably thrown away after they were done with the video. I am all about giving old stuff a second chance so it hit me like a brick when I saw at the end of the video that the other pair was not restored, and it's not like they have an incentive to restore the other one at this point.

suggestion in using shoe goo: put masking tape around the heel then pour shoe goo and wait until it self-leveled. When dried, remove tape and trim excess

He only added the glue to the heel of the shoe to get rid of the heel drag (common especially in skating sneakers). The rest of the sole should still be ribbed!

@@clippymusic that's correct. but if you think about it, when you walk, the first part of the shoe that gets in contact with the ground is the heels. i had many shoes where this part was worn out and they were slippery on many type of surfaces, not to mention wet weather. so that's why i'm asking

Using Toothpaste and a Damp Hot rag you can get scuffs out off any color shoe. Those of you that wanna clean your shoes for cheap use your laundry detergent but water it down. Watered down laundry detergent is all reshoevn8r is. Your paying extra for a kit that won't be Quantity it won't last as long a your laundry detergent. Yes I admit reshoevn8r has good quality but it's way to expensive even with discount codes. USA btw

Try microfiber cloth instead of a brush. Its not so harsh on the material. Also its better to use gloves when doing a "resole"

You should put a shoe tree in the shoe while restoring; helps reshape the toe box. I've got some beat up suede Ecoalfs. Do you think I can use food coloring dye? I can't find any blue dye suitable for suede.

Most likely, yes, I would recommend treating the shoe with a quality coat or two of waterproof shield afterwards. This will not only help to protect it from the elements, but help to retain the color, as well.

@@radcolortiedye6718 Got the dye on my clothes but washed out fine. I was careless with my masking tho and it is very hard to get it off the white midsole. Have used acetone etc but still a trying to get it off! I'd say try it but proceed with caution and mask carefully.

@@rg77cor62 Aquí puede haber 2 opciones. Una porque la suela de la zapatilla estaba descuadrada y con la goma lo puso estable o puede ser también que le agrego la goma en la parte de la suela de atrás de la zapatilla para usarlo como un tipo de protección ya que los skaters usan mucho ese lado.

From what I remember it always worked really well, but looked terrible. no one cared how it looked though just wanted our shoes to last longer.
