ASMR Historian Testing Your Authenticity | You're Incredible! (Soft Spoken Personal Attention)

I promise that this historian/museum docent ASMR roleplay is not sinister. I pinkie promise. The bloke has a very soft-spoken, almost Giles-like, accent and will be showering you with praise and personal attention as he attempts to evaluate your historic authenticity. There’s tapping, brushing, scraping, and even a little measuring in there.
But I do want to apologise for the fidelity of the audio in this video. I had… not the best time in the world filming it. It was boiling hot (please remember that in the UK private residences and workplaces don’t tend to have air conditioning) and it was the f**king noisiest day I’ve yet experienced. So, I had to mash the audio with some noise reduction that I typically shy away from because it kills the ambient noise and diegetic sounds that are often quite dulcet. Wherever possible I’ve tried to rescue it, so I hope it is bearable, and again, I’m truly sorry. I slapped enough reverb on there, so maybe you won’t notice? Anyway, I hope you enjoy it regardless!

🎙 What is ASMR? 🎧
ASMR (autonomous sensory meridian response) is synaesthesia of the soul. It’s a relaxing feeling, it’s a tingling down the spine, or it’s simply a sleep aid. Whether it’s being ‘held’ by someone you have confidence in, or ‘looked after’ by someone with authority, or just feeling ‘safe’ with someone you trust, it uses audio-visual triggers to enable you to let go of your worries and stresses - even just for a bit.
📽 What is FPC? 🎞
FPC (first person cinema) takes all the relaxing elements of ASMR but has much more of a focus on immersion and the suspension of disbelief. It’s kinda like being the main character in your own short movie, with popular figures you know and love, or entirely created worlds - just for you. There won’t be any visible mics or traditional triggers in these videos, and they will seem more unintentional than the usual ASMR videos - but they are unique and relaxing experiences designed to transport you to different places, worlds, and times.

I've been following Jim for years and this perfectly says what I've been thinking. I appreciate so much that Jim's flavour to the ASMR community exists and I wish I had more time to watch his work. Ok so I know I can ALWAYS trust your pinkie promises 😊😊 This was excellent. I didn't hear any intrusive background noises and the reverb was lovely, next to frequency play it is one of my favorite triggers. With the reverb and lighting it reminded me of a huge room, possibly filled with other valuable items, almost vault-like. I appreciate what you do for us, and I hope you take it easy. The last thing I think anyone would want is to see you drop from heat stroke while trying to film for us. Please take care of yourself.

This creates an unusual viewpoint for the subject of attention....one of being both avidly appreciated by the person opposite (in shot) while at the very same time being watchfully protected by the person beside (out of shot). Someone I imagine who would be a little relieved, due to the enarmored gaze in the academic's gleaming eye, that they'd decided to be personally present for the evaluation rather than trusting in the integrity and lawful responsibility of this particularly impassioned academic. After alll, throughout history, a lot of interesting discoveries have gone missing on their way to museums. It' IS so warmly tingly to feel appreciated and valued by those who are present though. Even if one appears a bit dodgy. I wouldn't mind a bit more of a "sinister" creation of a different role-play situation around this viewpoint. That of being SO valued, as a human being, by two individuals. One who is a bit dodgy for whatever selfish reason and the other who is a protector who values you as the person you are ( hang on, I think I'm getting shades of my favourite gorgeous guy Eldrick ) now I know why he's my favourite. I'm new to your amazing creations, maybe you have already covered this? Anyway, the suspense is in who will overcome.
