I’m not sure what has changed to where you’re able to publish more videos again, but I’m so glad that there’s more to watch, listen to, and learn from!

What has changed is that most videos are not getting nearly enough views. The income from the channel is therefore way down and I can’t afford to pay the rent for the studio. I’m working like crazy to get the views up because if I lose the studio it will be a big blow to the channel and would become a significant problem in terms of producing more content. Please know that I value all of you who are still here greatly and that I will always do all that I can to keep the channel going! They haven’t seen the last of ASMR Chess yet!

​@ASMRChess Maybe try and post more shorts. Like your recent video on chess traps. You could do a short to introduce what they are and post a link to the full video in the discription. It is basically self advertisement. And it doubles the number of potential ways someone can see the video exists from just 1 with the thumbnail, to 2 with the short as well. Which potentially doubles the number of people who see it. Also, instead of helping study queen have her own channel, which would create competition, help her create videos on your channel and slowly integrate her into the revenue. As she gets more and more comfortable making her own videos on her own, then she can take the full revenue from any videos she creates and she can help pay off rent of the studio. Based on whatever percentage that she uses it. This would help you both. She would get to create videos and make money from an already active viewer base without having to create a brand new set-up and subscriber count. You would have more videos on your channel to increase viewers without having to slave away at making so many videos yourself.

I have a question I’m really curious about, if you don’t mind! I think you’ve said previously that StudyQueen was like your chess ‘mentor’, and she definitely seems to embody that in the videos. How did that originally happen? Were you friends and she got you interested in chess? Were you looking specifically for a chess mentor? I’m really curious how that kind of mentor - mentee relationship starts. And great video by the way. We’ve known eachother through chess for a long time. We used to be very even in our chess strength, but she has worked hard to improve and has surpassed me. We are still great friends and I can still beat her sometimes - just watch tour trash talking match! She has been teaching me different ideas and things she has learned about chess to help me with the videos. It is quite casual and based on our friendship.
