I also used to be a 'Groovy chick' fan and had the duvet cover, rug, washing basket etc for my bedroom and also some t-shirts. Can't believe you're able to get hold of the merchandise nowadays. All of the clothes looked great on you. I especially loved the flares... Lovely to see you trying on clothes and experimenting with fashion which can be difficult sometimes in recovery but you seem as though you're just embracing it all and it's so great to see. It shows that recovery really does bring rewards and much more time for fun and less time to stress about silly food worries. Elzani, what a transformation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You look so much healthier! I haven't seen much from you (maybe I just hadn't got to it) about what you've been doing in the way of counseling. Contrary to what you said, and I'm sure you know this now, a large part of the anorexia is psychological/emotional issues. I'm saying this not only for you but for others that may read it. Some of the things that can trigger eating disorders aren't really even about their actual weight, but a need to have control. This also can tie into OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder). Some of the issues, especially in the young teens, is parents who are too controlling, who haven't realized where they need to be with their kids in terms of encouraging and guiding them and letting them make decisions. It's parents who micromanage their children and make them feel that they don't know how to do anything. In short, they haven't yet learned how to empower their child/children. Sometimes, that may have something to do with the way they were raised. Well why anorexia? Why bulimia? These are things that they can control, or at least try to. I've read stories in short about girls who have confirmed that what they are trying to do is very, even extremely, difficult to do, but they do it for that sense of control. The irony here is that that the self control eventually is lost, to the point where they have no control. This is why things are done the way they are in eating disorders centers. You have to have the same system for all otherwise it gets into a mad house with all kinds of comparisons about who gets what and so forth. Like I said with one of your other videos, the point where you went in, your body chemistry was so out of whack that they needed to control your diet to help get your body chemistry back towards normal Glad to see the smiles and glad to see that you clearly are getting better. It's been a tough road for you and you should be very happy and proud of yourself for sticking with it.

Hi Elzani, I have watched you from the start and think you are amazing, I hope you never stop doing vlogs- you are such a huge inspiration and I’m a lot older than you! I just wondered as we are now seeing more of your life not just revolving around food, what do you do for a job? where do you work and what sort of career are you aiming for (if any, obvs work not the most important thing at all, but we spend a lot of time doing it so it’s interesting to know!). Or maybe you are studying? Work can make it hard to find time and energy to overcome difficulties and get a good mental balance, with the time it takes up and the stress it can bring but obviously we need money to live, so finding a way to live normally, including working, whilst eating well and being the best version of ourselves is one of the hardest things I think. Would appreciate knowing your approach as with everything! Xx
