When you sent in Shard by himself, that is the same reason I always keep an escort around my Juggernaut, because this game tends to like hordes more than one big ship (also I think they nerf the leviathans when you resurrect them)
@A_Spec Жыл бұрын
It's just utter pain
@cringelord7776 Жыл бұрын
They do not, the reanimated leviathans get plus 50 percent damage, it’s because the jump drive decreases fire rate that shard was completely overwhelmed
@glenmcgillivray4707 Жыл бұрын
The game clearly uses targeting priorities. Which is to say when you enter combat it seems to love sniping your Titans out from under your fleet despite you possessing Battleships and cruiser carriers it could kill far easier. Instead your titan dies first. So I stopped. I just use non-combat Titans and expect them to all die. Or stack all my Titans in one fleet and watch their Titan Lances to Blap at space stations and just keep them away from hostile fleets, usually escorting my invasion fleet keeping chaff away
@goldenhate6649 Жыл бұрын
Historically the issue with titans is that they liked to get in closer than bb’s. I just set them to carrier and sit in back.
@TheotherTempestfox Жыл бұрын
Leviathan fleet power is mostly from its health not its firepower. So yeah, they are a giant brick you can use in your fleet but really not great on their own.

unless they've changed it, those seed pods on the other planets can be activated even if it is NOT in your empire, you don't need to build an outpost, so, instead of building an outpost AND a colony ship, you just activate the seed pod.. so, 3000 credits versus 100 metal and influence for the outpost plus whatever the cost of the colony ship, and not using up your shipyard for the long time it takes to build a colony ship. also they deposit seeds on ALL planets, inhabited by pre-ftl or other empires... so you have soldiers for an attack already there too. nothing revolutionary but, it's interesting. i would let some of them go out and drop seeds, and cordyceps some others... unfortunately the game is crashing on my laptop so can't try it right now to make sure it didn't change since beta.
@briwanderz Жыл бұрын
ok, tested it, you can in fact colonize planets far far away from your regular space.. the tiyanki can take the seed pods, carry them through worm holes right from the start and deposit them on the other side of the galaxy, even if you can't get there you can colonize the planet and get a free outpost... i even got one of the somewhat special planets that way, the planet with the locust swarm over it, which is a tiny gaia planet, colonized it from random seed pod drop by tiyanki. oddly the first planet they seeded i did have to get a science ship somewhat close to get partial coverage before i could open the seed pod.. but the other planets i did not..
@Sukharno2121 Жыл бұрын
I played it out of curiosity last week. 3000 energy instead of 75 influence, 300 alloys, 400 of other stuff and the fact you don't need to survey the system or send a construction ship is a F-ing steal. If you focus a little more effort early you can get a ton of systems for just energy and at fraction of the normal time. The onus for this is that you can't really control where it's going to pop.

AI splitting up their fleets is such a huge mistake that they make. I recently had a save where my fleets numbering ~5 mill were wiped out in a single engagement because I wasn't paying close enough attention to notice every AI bringing their fleets together, so at this point I thought all was lost but they just split up all the fleets letting me build back up and somehow win the game.

@Tick421 Жыл бұрын
3000 pays the influence, food, and alloys to immediately build start colonizing and immediately take control of the system as well. So you’re skipping resources build time and travel time when you math it out 3000 is actually super cheap in energy. And you can so whatever resource you are abundant in for that 3000. Whether you were an alloy pumping whore like myself, or are you just weren’t paying attention and somehow stockpiled a ton of food instead of stunting off farms or whatever the deal. It works out amazing and it’s been fun to fart around with. I need to get into the discords and play multi with it just for funzies

Re CKIII - I was playing on Iceland for gits and shiggles, and went to raid France. Who's king was married to a Tibetan. I had to take a look, and it was far enough into the game that Tibetan had become the royal language of France, and there was a hybrid culture. I have no idea what happened, but France was full of nobles married to Tibetans. It was the damndest thing I've seen in that game.

@@A_Spec Ah, that explains the confusion over the lack of hyperlanes. And the foolish decision to send your dragon in undefended. There's a Gaia world there with primitives that could work excellently as a life boat system since the AI never uses their jump drives.

The UK went down the Privatisation path. Currently about half the network is back in government hands - 'Operator of last resort' because the private companies utterly failed through acts of genius like only having half the drivers their schedules needed on the assumption the other drivers would cover them through overtime and working on their days off. In the case of the East Coast Main Line, the national flagship line, three separate private companies have failed to make a go of it. The government operation now runs it quite nicely, thank you.
