They're only expensive because the US charge an absolute fortune for their medications. They cost about 1/4 of the price in the UK.

35:58 Great discussion… but the next major GLP-1 drug to come out will actually be CagriSema (GLP-1/amylin dual-agonist), not Retatrutide. Would hope for that one by end of 2025, with Retatrutide following about a year later.

Yeah no. Severely disappointing results from trial. Way less than retatrutide.

@@robertusga Wouldn’t be so certain. A lot of ppl are comparing results between a CagriSema trial that was done on T2D patents with a Retatrutide trial done on non-diabetics. But diabetics on avg lose about 1/3 less weight. So not really an apples-to-apples comparison. Unless Cagri’s Phase 3 readout just came out this week, and was disappointing and I haven’t seen it yet? 🤷🏼‍♂️ ‘Cuz the one non-T2D Cagri trial I’ve seen so far was 17 percent loss in just 20 weeks. Which is great, and right on par with Reta. Edit - Ok, see that the readout just dropped. Apparently only 57 percent of patients got to the top dose. But does that then mean there’s tolerability issues? 🤔 Bears more reading. But it’s a bummer, considering how strong the results had been in the 20-week trial.

If obesity involves the brain then it would have been a good idea to include a psychiatrist on board. GLP-1 analogs helped me get over compulsive snacking which in turn helped me keep my body weight in check.

I’m not sure, if I understood you right. You don‘t loose heart muscle mass. What you’re loosing is skeletal muscle mass. You’re build to stay alive a long time. First you burn your fat and later muscle to provide energy to the body. But if you wanted to say, that the heart muscle is “remodelling “ -and you get an better function with GLP 1, that ist right. Is the first time I’m commenting something in English, so I hope it’s not that confusing.
