For our 6th year anniversary, my wife Rowena and me went to Rome. Here we made this video where we go through a lot of locations that are also in Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. In this video a comparison between the locations in Assassins Creed Brotherhood (Anno 1500-1507) and the real city of Rome (Anno 2022). It was an amazing journey to make this video.
Don't forget to subscribe and like!
I stream Assassin's Creed and other games on Twitch.

@@ProximusGaming Well, maybe. All tho I will have to say that, the Rome that we can see in Assassin's Creed 2 in the final sequence in comparison to what they did in Brotherhood looks a lot bigger and detailed. Sure, most of it was just a decoration but still, I would prefer a lot more detailed version of it than what we got.

@@ProximusGaming because renovating archeological treasures is a crime. Renovating the Colosseum makes no sense, because you're going to ruin something that should be studied and appreciated for what it is. Even the ruined parts have history. To keep things as they are it's not abandoning them, it's to preserve and protect them. In fact, some of these locations are still utilized for artistic events. It's complicated to explain (english is not my main language and the matter Is not simple) but, being graduated in archaeology, I had to reply. Our role is to preserve and understand what we have, not trying to fix it to make it look good.

I went to Rome for real and then went to find all these locations in the game. It's pretty good for the most part but you know it's not all correct. Temple of Ceasar, temple of Romulus, temple of Vespa? Roman senate remnants the size of a bus, come on now. Inside of colloseum is not correct. Arches are too close to one another and in contrast to the other two arches, on the arch of Titus they didn't put any imagery because it's full of jewish symbols commemorating the victory over the jewish rebellion in Judea, weak move. That Trevifountain isn't there makes sense but the temple of Hadrian?? Still it was very cool to see all the rest in real life versus the game, the mistakes just bother me, the perfectionist as i am.

I guess they will never be able to make it 100% accurate for many reasons. Can be politics, gamespace… can be lots of things… but you are right. That is also cool to actually see the differences.
