I grew up with the assassin's creed series. They are definently more than "just games". They are valuable lessons, that shaped me into who I am. More than any other series. They have taught me more than any teacher, and have been there when no one else stood by me. No matter what everyone is saying about the games being too different nowadayz, Assassin's Creed will always be a part of my identity, and that will never change.

I feel you buddy. Also...much of it is truer than you'd want to think. Go through your Animus databases, find the cool entries and give them KZbin searches. The things you will find will open your eyes. Ezio could never stay with Catarina because the Sforzas and the rest of the Merchants of Venice were pure Evil. The Medici not much better... Part of my family are from Connors homeland and I was born there. If you let it touch you even deeper, down to the bones, to the ancestry and pick up the Esoteric and Wisdom it is trying to give you, you'll grow mad quick.

I don't think Origins is underrated. Literally everyone loves it who played it in my circle. It was a revival of the series after buggy and repetitive releases which caused a franchise fatigue. Black Flag, the best story and character developement in AC history imo. Unlike other AC's protagonists, he lost his friends who he called "family" one after another and the pain deep inside slowly killed him. From a selfish pirate to a man who fought for what's right, to make amend of his past mistakes. It's sad that he looked at his friends' "ghosts" thinking "I'm the only one that's left", not knowing that he too met a tragic fate later.

I always get a tear every time I see these Assassin's Creed edits. This franchise will be my all time favorite. ALL those who were murderers (protagonists) lost someone who was part of their life, friends or family. In the end they all ended up alone, they saw those they knew and loved die. Of killing other targets until you were finally able to stab him with the hidden blade to end his life and somehow avenge the one you swore you would avenge.

History are made by the ones that aren't bold enough to tell the truth of the world. Why, in this fictional world, does it's history sound more authentic than any book or website? Could it be that people feel more comfortable in fantasy than reality? Maybe because the power feel playing as each and every Assassin and Templar feels you with some unknown glory? Or perhaps the makers of Assassins Creed are the bold ones. They don't make history. They make legends. Champions and heroes alike. History can be forgotten but legends never die.
