Here is a little remake of my old video (link below):
• It's just a game.
Felt some of the scenes and cuts could be done better, so I redid it with some additional support. Games are often touted as 'toys' and for little boys when it's quite opposite, Games are what can be argued as the highest form of art combining film, book and music together to construct an experience that will leave a PLAYER changed from the experience, that's something only a minority of film can do, whereas games, be it killing a fucking ender dragon or finishing Red Dead Redemption 2 on the cliff, many games haven't hesitated to provide a compelling base of stories that pierce the human conditions and evoke immense emotions, and they're fun asf.
I may do a different version on this but with different music, shit kinda sounds washed out now, I'm choosing between the 3:

This game breaks me like hell dude 😢 Joel's death makes me cry so much that i stop playing for a moment. And the end.. when Ellie is alone and let the guitare in the house. I broke in tears. Great video. I always hate when people say "It's just a video game" or "Video Games are for kids" because they've only ever been exposed to the likes of COD, FIFA, GTA and Mario, when you get games like This War of Mine, The Last of Us, Valiant Hearts, MGS, and RDR2 really showing what this medium is capable of as an art form in the way they can make make us experience a story or a characters hardships in a way no other medium can.

I've been playing video games for as long as I can remember and through them I found a way to break out of whatever issues are going on in my life, thus they're now something I could never give up on because they've become a part of who I am, like most of my fellow gamers. Arthur Morgan has the saddest story. Lost his parents at a young age. Got in a gang where the 2 gang leaders raised him. I cry after every one of these "its just a game" comps. No non gamer understands how involved we can get in these stories, these...adventures. We get to live lives that aren't ours, experience things that are impossible in a real world and yet the characters struggles are often times incredibly relatable all the same.
