yeu si how Edward met haythem's mother is not explained in either of the black flag book nor the forsaken book (which is the book on assassin's creed 3 but only follows haytham) Edward was attacked in his home in London by templars and killed haytham at a young age was recruited to the order by the man who ordered the attack and Jennifer was kidnapped for a couple of years Haythem recues her when he's all grown up and well trained Learns who ordered the attack, he and Jennifer kill him Also haytham's mother is tessa kenway but again as far as the story goes she's not really important

The Kenways did not have a happy course. Edward lost a wife who loved him for who he was and was happy with him because of his inability to appreciate what he already had, lost all his friends to life and betrayal, found a new family and lost them when he was betrayed and murdered by a trusted friend who he did not realise was the Templar Grand Master. Haytham lost his father, mother and sister, became a Templar, stayed one and died at his own son's hands because he couldn't let go of the Templar cause even after he found out how much it ruined his life. Jennifer Scott lost her mother, father, stepmother and brother and was sold into sexual slavery by her betrothed, endured years of degradation and lived the rest of her days as a bitter and resentful spinster. And Connor............ he lost his mother, father, mentor, best friend, village and entire people, but found love in time and had children and lived happily with them.

I doubt they could fit it into a movie. These are around 10-15 hour adventures with a lot of travel, characters, and worldbuilding. I haven’t seen the one movie they did make but I’m guessing the reason they wrote something totally new was to avoid that issue. It could definitely work as a series though. Apparently there’s a few coming from Netflix in the future. I’d love if they took us through Edward’s time in the British Brotherhood and maybe getting Matt Ryan back to play him, so much potential
