Cash crap from ubi regular it whose plan to add in valhalla but choose earn more money as separate game and one other think i notice they must change the graphics engine they use the same engine from ac unity from 2014 it is too old now with more powerful pc and consoles the must change it you see it no physics in hairs no good physics in clothes bad lipsync no detail npcs and many others small details i hope codename red use new engine as for the game i wait it in membership why spend money when you know in one year play it free.

i felt like the assassins focus wouldve looked so much cooler if the world slowed down but you stayed the same speed so you assassinate 3 guys at a normal speed to you but its actually super fast

I like the explanation for the assassin focus, I just wish it looked less like a teleport and more like an animus glitch - like if these kills happened faster or simultaneously and with blue glitches around basim instead of enveloping him I think it’d look way cooler

I’ll consider purchasing. I just wish instead of the last several releases Ubisoft would’ve listened to their fans and focused on creating an Assassin’s Creed Origins Sequel. Bayek truly deserves one.

Having no side or back ejects is kind of disappointing. Ac2, ac1, ac3 and ac4, rogue and unity and syndicate had the side and back ejects. Them removing this mechanic will most likely fail the parkour. Ac2 had simplistic parkour as well but with the side and back ejects it added that extra flow and them removing it is sooooo disappointing. They'll either ruin the parkour by removing one of the elements of their parkour mechanic from the past games or they'll compensate thei stupid decision to removing it

In AC1 the assassin robes resembled the robes worn by monks and priests. It was a little silly in that they then covered him in swords and knives but it at least kinda made sense that he could blend in. But pretty much every game after that made less and less effort to make the robes look like something someine could blend in with. Unity, maybe.

I think the assassin focus is really cool, but they need to better demonstrate that is the animus not keeping up with basim, as for many it looks out of place

To be fair “give more control to the player” makes sense. You can see in alot of places where basim can actually branch off and go down a different route. Side ejects and back ejects are used for just that reason. To branch off from whatever route you’re on. So if you pay attention you can see that one bar the badim swings off of is connected to a tarp. Basically my point is that you can instead of swinging off that rod, you can climb up it, and run on the tarp which i assume leads you to a different parkour route. My point is that the parkour isn’t linear like it was in the past three games.

I think the RPG games were the right direction for the series tbh. This game basically just removes features and fools people into calling it the “return to roots” instead of a downgrade. It’ll be the Madden of AC tbh. Just less. Idk, I realize that people hate on the RPG ones. I’m not saying they were perfect, but I did enjoy them. I think if they continued with the RPG direction and just put it in this crusades/middle eastern setting then it would have the best of both worlds. I just want to live that fantasy of being an assassin in a history game. RPG all the way.

I think ac rpg games were good games tbh but they should've made a different IP for them altogether, but they knew that their new IP would take years to take off and solidify as a series in the market. That's why they went the less risky route of 'oh let's just take one of our series and slap those features on it and call it a day'. I always say this, prior few ac games are good rpg games but not good ac games.

I wasnt excited for this game tbh, but i will wait till it comes out to see how well it's recieved (considering how valhalla and oddysey turned out) but i guess it will be refreshing playing as an actual assassin once again. And unless it is a total masterpiece, return of AC kind of thing i will buy it till it is on sale

This is gonna be so much better than any of the RPG games i mean they were decent games but terrible assassin's creed games so to be playing an assassin and a full stealth focus is how every single ac game should be combat should always be a last resort to have assasination front and center again is exactly what the series needs. We need this game to succeed and from what we have seen its gonna deserve the ASSASSINS CREED name unlike odessy and Valhalla provided the story is good

Can't beleive I'm saying this, but the game actually looks decent so far but let's see how it pans out. I like the setting, it reminds me a lot of AC revelations which was so fun to play, still remember traversing the city in that game was very fun. It was I believe 12.5 hour game?? so I don't think 15 hours for mirage is bad esp considering the side quests would increase ingame hours, I feel like it could hit the sweetspot for AC games as the prior games have felt needlessly bloated. Other things related to combat also look fun. Traversal also looks fun but I don't think it'll be as smooth and fun as ac unity both Parkour and visuals vise even tho that game had its fair share of issues like bad combat and bugs. Kinda wished that they took risks again and tried something like unity because that game to this day looks insane and is very possible today. But it is what it is. But let's see hopefully it's good enough

Of course, the real explanation for teleporting is the devs are too lazy to animate something cool. I hope it's something the game dosn't force you to do because it looks really silly, as was their expination. I much prefer actually planning and taking down those three guards by, you know, getting good at the game, rather than a half-assed game mechanic. Might as well just have the three guards fall down dead "because he's so fast!"

Been playing Siege of Paris for the first time and I think the main Assassination missions will play out like how they are in this expansion. But i do hope the quests are longer cus with the 3 black box missions in siege of paris, the game was 6 hours in length

The whole 'glitch in the animus' bs you all buy into is in the game to save production time and budget. It's straight up copy pasted and tweaked from shadow of Mordor. If it was really due to Basim's speed, then why are we not seeing his dazzling speed in other gameplay scenarios or cinematics? You guys let Ubisoft of the hook way to easy all because they tied some AC lore to some bullshit reasoning. The very least they could do is give us an option to COMPLETELY turn it off. 'You need stealth kills to use it.. that's traditional AC' is NOT good enough. Branding the game as going back to its root yet adding this ability is straight up an appalling decision made by someone who is clearly out their depth in the team. Its a spit in the face to its fans but you compliant gamers are swallowing it all up. For anyone who replies 'just dont use it 'Don't buy the game then' have overlooked the entire point

okay not sure if u missed it but assassins focus is an ability that you get if you chose to invest in it via the skill tree. you do not have to get it, therefore use it.

I completely agree that it's there to cut costs and development time...but that doesn't automatically make it bs. It'd be like saying the whole game is automatically bad because it started as DLC. Believe me, I have no interest in treating Ubisoft charitably (mainly due to all the sexual harassment that they've done nothing meaningful about), but I see the assassin focus ability as a step in the right direction to limit all the mythic-level powers we've been seeing. Tying them to stealth kills instead of adrenaline points or whatever they did in Valhalla (never played it so idk) is objectively better as it incentivizes "traditional" gameplay. Am I going to sing their praises for it? Hell no. You're right that Basim's speed should be evident throughout ALL gameplay. But I'm not going to call it appalling or a spit in the face either. I'm gonna try out the ability, and if I don't like it I'll see if I can hide the focus meter in the HUD setting. Ik that doesn't fully address the fact that you think it shouldn't be there at all, but I do hope the game has enough positive qualities for you to look past it and just have a good time with it.

It’s not petty to complain about lack of ejects when you consider they’ve consistently failed to add such a simple feature for the last 3 games. Building architecture and historical setting are not excuses to remove such basic fucking features (especially the manual jump). The fact they’ve actually changed the architecture in Mirage to be more parkour friendly is all the more reason these old parkour mechanics should be back.
