I love every AC previous games and I like changes they make in Origins. Ofcourse not all were good but most were fine.Before Odyssey came out I hoped that it will be like from AC1 to AC2 but what I got acually was just A huge misunderstanding. Great and fair review. I also wish the story hadn't been so hurried, and some of the characters had been flushed out a little more. For instance, when Pompey got killed the dialog explaining what happened was so rushed that I almost missed that it was him who had been killed, and even when I did figure it out, it felt like a missed opportunity to really make a major moment in history something bigger in the game. Also, the whole end was just very quick and at times a little nonsensical, like you mentioned in the video. Aside from all that, I fucking LOVE that game. I'm currently at about 118 hours, and have unlocked and played everything on the map. I actually hit level 40 before I even met Cleopatra in the main story mission, because there's SO much to do in the game, that I just kept discovering new areas and playing side missions till there was nothing left to do but go back to Alexandria and play the mission where you meet her. ;-) The combat DEFINITELY takes some time to get used to, but when you get the hang of it, it's REALLY fun. For a goof, I actually played a little AC Brotherhood tonight, and it's almost impossible to go back to the old style now that I'm used to the new one. The old one is just kind of button mashing, and the new one is actually time and skill based movement that REALLY changes up depending not only on what type of enemy you're currently locking horns with, but also what kind of weapon you're using while doing it. The only point I'll disagree with your review on is the question marks appearing in new sections. You seemed to take issue with it, and as I mentioned before, those question marks are the reason I hit level 40 before making any real progress in the actual single player story. I found them to be what CONSTANTLY held my interest, and the map is just to HUGE to have me running around just HOPING to find something to do. If those question marks weren't there, I would've just gotten bored running around this ENORMOUS world hoping to find something, and it would have made the game feel MUCH more frustrating to me. Also, with them being question marks, it kept the mystery of what I was going to discover hidden till I got there, instead of how the old games were with me knowing exactly what kind of mission it was going to be because of the icon displayed on the map. Hell, because of the rushed narrative in the main story that we both agree could have been improved, I actually think I enjoyed doing all the side missions a little more than I did the actual main story. So again, excellent and very fair review. Got a sub from me to your channel. :-)

Yup. It was SUPER quick, and I don't think they even mentioned him by name, but instead just started talking about their next moves. The only reason I picked up on it was that there was a body with it's head chopped off, which HAD to be him. Just another example of how I wish they would've taken the time to develop the story more. This is literally one of the most fascinating times in history, so when they rush through things like this it's a real lost opportunity, especially when they have all the tools to do it great, but just don't.

Yep, no regrets for me neither - which is quite rare for me nowadays with open world games, and especially Ubisoft open world games. I don't even do the "side quests" in those games anymore. In Unity, I did maybe 5 side quests, and I even regret that. But Origins is different. It has the Black Flag spark. It's highly addictive despite its flaws.

I must have like +50 hours, usually i alternate between this game and others to not make it repetitive, but I can say that it definitely has content to keep you entertained for a long time.

One little detail that I found quite interesting is in the quest near the Theatre in Alexandria. The main guy told Bayek that "truth is in chaos, not order" which 100% sounds like something an assassin would say, so who knows, maybe he was an assassin, or maybe would be if the brotherhood existed back then. I also like this quest in, if I'm not mistaken, Memphis, where you are investigating why the mummies decay despite being processed with this white stuff (don't remember what that was). And so there is actually a location (I think somewhere near Giza) where the whole village is in this white stuff that they ship to Memphis for this very purpose!

After playing both (origins and Odyssey), there is another aspect I think Origins wins: soundtrack. The main theme of Origins gives me the chills. Whenever it started I Knew something big was up. There is no such thing in Odyssey. It might sound like a small detail, but is an important one

Aliensinnoh unity is one of the best ac games, the only reason it has such a bad reputation is because of how fucked up and glitchy it was at release. If you go back and play it now when it's all patched with no bugs then it's amazing. Paris is one of the best ac maps ever and Arno reminds me of ezio, it felt alot like brotherhood too because of the whole assassin order etc. The customization was great, it was the first ac game to introduce actual cover based stealth, it brought the ability to parkour down buildings, the combat was really fun and challenging, the story was good, graphics were amazing and overall it was awesome. If unity had released without any bugs etc then I doubt anyone would be saying it sucks. Unity is the best ac game aside from ac2, brotherhood and black flag

I finally finished the main story. Solid 9 from me. I thought the main story was great if a little rushed at times, the world is gigantic and beautiful, loved the characters, etc. I thought the present day storyline was very minuscule and didn’t have a ton of cool stuff, but the scene with William got me excited for what’s to come with Layla.

Somewhat like the quest in faiyum (think that’s how it’s spelt) where you are looking for the lizard and someones, who is helping you, child is killed by soldiers and bayek tries to rescue her

What bothers me about Origins is the Bleeding Effect. The Bleeding Effect is a result of descendant’s genetic memory getting strained as their ancestor’s memories overlap their own, making reality a nightmare. In AC: Black Flag, we hear that the bleeding effect is still mentioned to the staff as a concern, but the staff still push themselves in the simulations and have ZERO adverse effects. Because, it’s not their ancestor’s memories. Their genetic memory isn’t getting strained. Origins reintroduces the bleeding effect even though Layla isn’t related to Bayak by blood. We also see it in Odyssey as she takes on Alexios/Kassandra’s more violent tendencies by the end. The bleeding effect was cool, and they removed it flawlessly when they killed off Desmond. Now that they’ve reintroduced it, it feels like it’s only there for the sake of being one of the founding features in the franchise. Only there for the sake of nostalgia. Aside from that, I like it! Great game and I loved the story.

Good video. On thing I thought I'd point out, was that the side quests felt more like Unity's. Most quest givers were random people fleshing out the world, whereas Syndicate had about half the number of missions, all for main characters that you could count on one hand, that fleshed out the cast more than the world. It's good to see they're not just learning from failure.

Origins is the best AC game I've played after AC2 , Bayek is also easily the best protagonist in the game after Ezio, i know his role in the game came out of nowhere but still his voice actor Abubakar Salim was 10/10 all the way through, brilliant script by Ubisoft and great game overall

I disagree about the outfits. I think they all look aesthetic and beautiful, and the color variation that are in the game are nice to look at. A dye system would've been neat, but I don't particularly miss it. I miss the controlled descent mechanic from Unity and Syndicate much more, as well as manual healing. Also: Social Stealth was sorely missing from Origins. If they add that in again and keep the Origins formula, the next game could be goty material.

I've been a big AC fan although I've been disappointed time and time again after AC3. Game objectives were more or less the same, story line ran us through the same forts and bases to kill captains and loot treasure, side quests did the same. Many of the side casts and characters played little to no significance as we got to meet them, then finish the quest line and buh-bye! The game looks fantastic, and the world is of high quality and what I would expect from UBISoft New "Progression System", claims to be similar to witcher 3. The system was really bare bones and nothing ground breaking, from gear, fight mechanics and choosing a specific build for your character. Ok try, will definitely be hesitant with their next AC title as they price their game on the high end of single player RPGs.

All in all, a great game. I totally agree with your point about presentation of the story, and structurally could've been more effective. The side missions were in need of some cinematic direction, as they felt emotionless (think the witcher 3). A few personal nitpicks like the dodging and no vault were annoying. I was disappointed by the 'origins' of the brotherhood, for instance the art of parkour and stealth.

in terms of performance, this game has insane cpu usage, even with my new i7 8700k at 4.6ghz, my cpu usage can be between 80-90 percent on all 12 threads at times, Alexandra seems to hit the cpu the hardest, so i imagine last gen quad cores like the 7700k, may struggle abit, but other than that, its a fantastic game, worth every penny

AC: Origins is THE BEST out of all AC series, I have ever played (except Odyssey, maybe I haven't tried it yet). I say it belongs to one of the best game all time shoulder to shoulder to legendary games like Fallout 3, GTA:SA, RDR2, Etc.

You can get the micro transactions through reda Heka chests it’s just the drop rates are like 1/5. They said this, but I agree I don’t think micro transactions should be in the game at all. It’s not like they are forcing you to pay even though they are lol.

I play on PC with similar specs to yours, but I run into problems sometimes. The most annoying one is when I'm in tombs and other indoor/underground areas and entire rooms (especially ones where there are puzzles) are extremely white/bright, as if someone turned up the exposure for just that room. It's usually not game-breaking but sometimes it's near impossible to solve the puzzle without reloading my game and redoing the whole tomb.

I really enjoyed Bayek and Aya. And the concept could have been one of the best. I like how on their way for vengeance they got involved with characters and situations bigger than them and how they chose their own way. But Jesus they execution was meh. I killed all the antagonists and it was like playing the Witcher and i was completing contracts. Instead of Odessy i would have loved to see a sequel of this but done better.

I think the southern deserts are suppose to be empty so the player feels alone like in real life. They are beautiful and I agree with putting hidden treasure or stuff out there.

Personally i love the game and i hope we will see more of Bayek and Aya in the future, but i am slight dissapointed with the concept of the story being the Origin of the AC Brotherhood we know from the first game because Egypt being the Origin doesn´t really fit that much, when there are older Brotherhoods in the story. I would have found it much better if it were set in the late bronze age with the main antagonist being TOFTA,The sea people, Moses and Ramses II due to it being more original, way more Egyptian than Ptolomaic Egpt and not acting like as if the end of Egypt was the only Notable event in Ancient Egptian history. Either way i still love this game for it beat one of my Favorites AC games: AC 3. Now i am done with my stuff and ask you if you will ever make a video about Juno´s father or the Possibilty of an AC set during the Isu era.

i got a 1070, i5 6400 overclocked to 3.0ghz and 16gb ddr4. i got 80 fps to 30fps. places like alexandria and big cities gave me massive fps drops. after the first update i got 40 to 50 fps. i think i should get higher fps. srry for my bad english
