We recently got baby goats. They are mini Nubian and Nigerian dwarf so they will stay really small. They have their permanent fenced in area and we also have a portable electric fence that is huge. We can move it from one place to another so they can clear different areas. We have lots of wooded areas that we want cleared under the trees.
@ladybarbarapinsonartist4312 жыл бұрын
Absolutely yes for goats as they are great weed eaters; thus choose your confined areas with care. In my next neighbourhood goats are rented as weed eaters for clearance. You could also rent them for clearance, as another income stream. It’s an idea for community discussion within your household as all members will gain both benefits and annoyances.

My no-fail method for catching and releasing birds that have gotten into the house (our cats used to bring them in through the kitty door so we have a lot of practice!) is to use a butterfly net and a feather duster made of real feathers. Cover the bird with the feather duster and it will calm down because it will think it is it’s mother. Really! Then gently slide the butterfly net under the bird and duster using the duster to cover the bird and net and take the whole thing outside. We have done this many times.

No goats please. Kirsty is right. Goats eat anything and everything including socks hanging up to dry. They have no discrimination at all and eat the strangest things. You already have sheep which are far less destructive. Why don't you get moorhens and golden carp for the moat instead? Plant water lilies. Once the lake is ready you can get swans and ducks. Those chandeliers are magnificent. So beautiful. How kind of Anders to bring them and I could see how much you enjoyed putting them together and cleaning them.
