Assembling The Forged Engine Internals - Opel Corsa OPC

It was time to put together the piston/conrod assembly. For that I needed to balance the piston weights and grind the piston ring gaps. For my surprise the OEM weight a bit more then the stronger forged ones.

Hello, you installed bushings with a hole for lubrication, 1350H, and in the ACL catalog it shows 1355H for this engine, what is going on here? Does your car run normally on these bushings?

1350H is for older Opel's and I used this only because the 1355H were out of stock. Only difference is that 1350H have identical upper and lower halves and a bit wider. Both ones work fine.

Do you have any idea how much power and RPM the stock camshaft can hold? My engine is gone and I'm wondering if I should upgrade the cams and put stage 2 supertech valve springs..

I don't have experiance myself, but what I have heard is that 7000-7200 is when the OE camshaft still makes power. Power depends on a setup. If you plan to upgrade the camshaft and want to raise the redline then you have to do the valve upgrade also.

@SATS Motors I need to buy from catcams. I'm struggling to choose between their road 4603510 and 4603511..I don't know if the latter one will affect idle too much

Ask catcams directly. They probably can tell you what would be the best for your needs

Did the machine shop balance the crankshaft? Im trying to rebuild my engine and put forged internals in but the machine shop says the crankshaft needs to be adjusted.

If they say it is out of tolerance then it needs to be machined or if it is out of balance it needs to be balaced. Usually if the crank is in tolerance and no exsessive runout then it does not need to be balanced.
