And their last game Divinity Original Sin 2 only had bird's eye view, so you couldn't really appreciate animations like these, period, really great for their "first time" as a studio at least and in early access :)

I know this is treading on thin ice because 1. it's a huge undertaking and 2. it's very difficult to make a playable character with a relatable personality AND 3. it would be an even "huger" undertaking to add voice lines without limiting dialog options (looking at you, Fallout 4)

@@gronkiusmaximus I think the companions have a bit more polish to their animations than the rest of the game, hopefully by full release all interactions will be as smooth. Shadowheart needs a bit more work IMO, she looks a bit twitchy during dialogue.

@@nonoialbinoi, I actually noticed having a lot more dialogue pop ups and interactions without Lae'zel in the party/camp (Doing my first playthrough without picking her up right now). I didn't expect it would matter, kind of cool that it does though.

FULL diologue with all options: kzbin.info/www/bejne/boOaoWishtJ3sLs In order to get this dialogue you need to: - use illithid powers at least 3-4 times. - get rid of Lae'zel. Unfortunately, her scene triggers first and it leaves other companions with shorter versions of their dialogues. You don't have to kill her, you can just don't recruit her at all. She can't be in your party or camp at this point, otherwise you'll just get her scene with a dagger. - that's it. afaik Astarion approval doesn't matter here, but just in case: it was Hight in my case

@@BlueDragonKnight77 If you use illithid powers during dialogues to much you will get this or the Laezel scene, then you will have a dream and the next day everyone get a new Illithid power that can be used during combat.

​@bad dreams I 100% agree his 'stay' there was traumatic for him. But I don't think he was necessarily raped at all. It could very well be that a specific service was expected of each spawn, and his was fetching food. Other than that, they were used for occasional practical purposes, like his mark/scar, but perhaps that's all. His master could very well not even need sex, or get it elsewhere. I think the problem here is that there's no way Astarion does not have a bit of Stockholm syndrome after 2 centuries of living under him, especially considering that his master as a vamp could be charming, and the only NOT pathetic person he ever saw (and he likes non-pathetic - every time the MC acts self-assured with others, he approves). We do see that he imitates him sometimes too (for other reasons as well) and everybody's tadpole dream is about a person they long for in a way. I think he might have a bit of Stockholm and want his master, but if so, is self-aware (and proud) enough not to submit to this feeling and is disgusted with himself for feeling it. In this interpretation, if the MC points it out, he lashes out because it's true. Mildly teasing him about it as a friend (not mercilessly) could actually help him face it though instead of be in denial about it, so he can have no conflicting feelings, only hatred for him eventually. That'd help prepare his personal quest of quality vamp lord hunting..
