BTW about that last tall difficult classic Greek type container - I once filled a similar brown pottery vase with sand and did a yellow fabric flower, dried grasses & deep green leaves arrangement in it, and then put melted wax on the top of sand to hold the arrangement during transport and over time. Worked beautifully for some years ;-) In Germany I insert in them a 'lipped' bowl that fits exactly over the mouth of the vase. In this way we can put Oasis in it and do the arrangement. There are also tall conical shaped lipped plastic inserts available to make tall better controlled arrangements that can also hold water. It is from them that I actually got the idea to use shallower inserts for more compact and smaller arrangements.

This is a great informational video. I love having the instruction to see how to use the different types of media (foam, wire, moss, etc) to work with and what to do with them. Keep up the good work.

Thank you for your very informing videos. They have been of great help. I was wondering if you could do an arrangement on a pedestal. Like in a small bowl that you can put on a pedestal and use as a centerpiece? Thank you

This is so useful - thank you! Could you tell us which containers are better suited for which types of arrangements & occasions please and the the pros and cons of the types of containers please? Could you also do a video series on flowers? The characteristics of types and the families the most common and popular and readily available flowers please?. And then the pros and cons of using them for different containers and different occasions? Thank you so much!

I apreciate the informations.I watched your videos and I noticed the way you use the foam....so I just want to have a small comment about it - those who produce the foam say that we should be carefull with pushing the foam when we use it, for if we crush it the flowers might not take enough water, so they don't last too much...the foam is formed from lots of small cells that keep the water inside - so is not so indicate to crush them, for they lose their purpose...so, my point is that if we are dealing with the foam in a more gentle way we could use it at it's highest capacity..

What is the name of the putty you use to hold your pin holders/frogs into place. I hears you call it something in another video but can’t seem to remember it or find the video again. I have enjoyed your videos immensely. You make everything so easy. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Watching and learning from Michigan US

Oops, sorry, I hit the wrong button... the product I used is called ' plasticine'. It's a putty like modeling material made from calcium salt, petroleum jelly & aliphatic. A modeling clay, we all loved as kids. Since making this video, I've started using a product called ' liquid nails' manufactured by SHELLYS. Great stuff that sets like rock after 24 hours. It's waterproof, but once used, it can't be unmoved. I use it on containers that need this type of fixing for flowers/foliage. Hope this helps, Astar
