Slightly weak I hate to say. Not terrible but not nearly as good as my cell phone either. I solved this by installing a WIFI extender in my bedroom. Now it's pegged!

Pardon me if Im wrong but doesnt the crossfeed do the exact opposite? It takes some right channel and mixes it into the left and vice-versa. It actually NARROWS the sound field 😳 the reason being that under normal conditions, both ears recieve sound. Try it with music that's hard panned and see what I mean. Has more than 1 mode too. Doing some tricks where the upper freqs are mixed less than lower or some such. Makes the sound stage more cohesive.

Great review. How would you compare this to the SP3000? Would you still consider the SP3000 to be TOTL as compared to the tube version?

I can tell you based on having an SP3000T myself. The specs say that the 3000 has imperceptible and slightly better specs on it's op amp but that's all. The 3000T gets a good sound from the op amp mode but can sound a wee bit sterile on certain tracks. While some tracks, such as those that were recorded with a pure analog format, like 60's or earlier can benefit from this. But I find that for the majority of recordings, I leave my settings on hybrid level 3 (medium mix) and tube bias at 2 (medium). OMG, it sounds both real and delicious at the same time. By real, I mean that I find my head turning to look for sounds that appear to be emanating from the room, sometimes startling me. Yeah, that real. But with that buttery listenable sound you only get from a tube amp. Or you could go with tube only at high bias (3) for a straight tube class A accurate sound with minimal even harmonics. If you like being able to tweak your amp's characteristics then you are gonna LOVE the 3000T! The only other DAP I've owned that sounded this good was the Cayin N8ii which unfortunately had to be returned due to battery trouble and overheating. The 3000T barely gets warm let alone hot. For me, it's a no-brainer. Seriously!

@@Level10Productions excellent explanation about the sound signature of the 3000T. I have the 3000 and was curious about the T’ sound as a comparison. Nothing quite sounds like tubes. Before the T was introduced I went out and bought a Woo Audio WA8. When I want that tube sound I just go line out to my SP3K. We both have the best of both worlds. I’m sure the 3000T is superb. If you search this product on KZbin you see that most all channels are selling channels, and not the one guy reviewing. The one guy reviewing channel doesn't seem to be growing. I look for reviews that require a little reading between the lines. The reviewer doesn't want to submit a bad review or he gets less cooperation. So he makes a review with one little caveat hidden in there. Actually, there are some who come right out with it. But not many. The next big thing. Promote it.

Yeah but you can’t stream on the new Cayin N3. Also no WiFi or Bluetooth so it’s only good for people who listen from an SD card.

Are you jacked or what? The N3 doesn't come close nor does it even have tubes, let alone REAL tubes, like glass vacuum tubes, can you imagine? It would have to be HUGE! Dude. Go bungle in some other jungle. Return to the planet from whenst thou cameth man!
