I have the Sony latest earbuds and the bowls Pi8 Sony = excellent anc Pi8 - good anc Sony - good sound Pi8 - excellent sound Sony - comfortable good Pi8 - excellent fit

@@paulgrindrod2841 I agree with what you say about the Pi8, except for the ANC. The ANC is not good, it's below average it would have been good like 5 years ago

You confirmed what I was thinking regarding the sound differences between the PI7-S2 and PI8. I will keep them both since there are times I prefer the more foot stomping sound from the PI7-S2 over what I have experienced so far from the PI8.

@@nikoskomninos7904 the Pi8 app includes a equalizer so you can adjust the sound to what you prefer. To me, the Pi7-S2 tends towards favoring lower frequencies compared to the Pi8 without using the equalizer. The Pi8s sound very good.

some posts mention that there is no more strong bass in pi8 as in pi7s2, i was user of pi7s2 and i was enjoyed the bass and i am worry losing it purchasing pi8, what is your opinion?

Wouldnt the Pi7 v1 be more suited for you? As the max volume output seems to exceed the pi7s2. Bigger punch.

They really do sound great, and comfort, was worried they would feel really full in the ear, but they don't feel uncomfortable at all.

Is soundstage dependent on each person's ear canal/HRTF? Because when it comes to earbuds and IEMs, people often disagree when it comes to how wide the sound stage is on a product

I'm not an expert but I don't think sound engineers would agree that there is any HRTF effect with either IEMs or headphones without specific sound processing or binaural recording. I suppose one could say you get much more soundstage with open-back headphones, but I don't think that's the same as HRTF, or the effect different sounds hitting your ear at different times from different directions. Since IEMs/earbuds use the ear-canal itself as the speaker enclosure, HRTF effects would be impossible without processing for it. But that's not to say a good stereo recording can't provide a sense of space with a good pair of IEMs, I experience it with Pi8 in a way I do not with cheap earbuds. But even still, all the sound is inside my head. That said, I haven't tried my collection of Dr. Cheskey's binaural recordings on them yet, which might give them an even greater sense of space. But as a non-engineer, I don't think that's the same as HRTF.

@@Unwise- Everyone has a slightly different HRTF. Natural sound for you means the real sound after it is affected and changed by your HRTF. Since IEMs are in your ear and skip your pinna and head (and even torso), the sound will not get changed based on your personal HRTF before it hits your eardrums. So IEMs have to guess the HRTF with the tuning. So when two people hear natural sounding speakers, they sound natural to both. But when two people with different HRTF listen to the same IEM, for one the IEMs might have guessed the HRTF really well and they sound natural, and for the other guy their HRTF might not match the IEMs tuning and it will sound slightly off. So even though they both use the exact same IEM, they do not sound equally natural or good to them. I was just wondering whether this also affects sound stage and if so by how much. Maybe I have been listening to the headphone show podcast too much.

@@Violet-ui Thanks for explanation. My lack of HRTF from earbuds don't diminish my enjoyment of them. The Pi8 do sound fantastic, possibly the best IEMs I've heard, for Bluetooth. I prefer open-back headphones connected to a decent dac/amp, but for portability, they sound excellent.

Great sound, crap app. No widget, can't seem to customise the leg /right volume uo/down controls. Flakey connection to my S24 Ultra. No preset EQ settings. Cheap poorly designed packaging (for the ear tips) Charges very slowly.. Tried official lead and different plugs. They do however sound fantastic..(Pi8)

Yo Everyone in the Audio Community. I discovered a fatal flaw in the Pi8's. Mine were brand new yesterday from John Lewis cost £349.99 and I maxed out the EQ and Volume with Noise Cancelling ON and played this track kzbin.info/www/bejne/fHvbhaBpbJeao7Msi=r6q1Zrn0X3cKr1m9 by Mark Spence 2 The Floor. On boths Earbuds ran loud, nasty crackling distortion where the drivers could not handle it or clashed with the Noise Cancelling. I urge you to test this for yourself. You may want to return them fast.
