I'm building an 30k army based around Aster Crohne and it's nice to see him get some attention. We seem to have interpreted parts of his back story differently. It was my understanding that he wasn't demoted when Archein Malaci was killed, he instead was already a Judiciar and given temporary command of the 94th Company. He also wasn't the only recruit from Saiph, the Blood Angels had a recruitment outpost there, he was just the only Saiph recruit to be given leadership

There is no doubt in my mind that perhaps Crohne is the founder of the Knights of Blood considering how the rest of the Blood Angels their successors treat them as outcasts even if they are still kin to each other, and how he himself was treated by his battle brothers would be a reflection on how his future chapter will be treated.

Corax only banished the remaining terran astartes because of their enslavement methods which is what he spent his early life fighting against. This guy was just shamed for being a bit more bloodthirsty than the rest even though the entirety of the Great Crusade was just a slaughter fest of anyone who doesn't want to join the imperium
