Bought the Ultras but regretted it. The back pads have no cushion and badly cut into the back of my leg when I go into the attack position, not to mention they are so heavy and bulky you have to crank it as hard as you can to TRY to keep them up. Mobius X8 is much lighter and huge cushion pads, worked far better me. Something for others to know, was a costly mistake for me.

Does any racing suit have anything similar? My guess is no. I wish they had

No, leather race suits do not use these off-road style knee braces. -DrewZilla

Maybe a stupid question but i use Mobius X8 Braces since two years. In early 2018 is broke my cruciate und hurt my knee a bit on a slow enduro crash nevertheless wearing those X8 Braces :-(. Now im not trusting them 100% anymore. The Asterisk Ultra Cell make a little better impression on me. Can you confirm that Ultra Cell > Mobius X8?

Unfortunately, no brace can provide perfect protection. However, it is true that the Asterisk Ultra Cell Braces do provide additional support and protection over the Mobius. -DrewZilla

U guys recommend these or the asterisks carbon 1
@RevZilla4 жыл бұрын
We are actually reviewing the Carbon Cell 1 Knee Braces as we speak and they are definitely nice. They appear to be aimed at the racer looking to shed every ounce of weight rather than your typical track/trail rider though. So if you are just out having fun and looking for the most bang/buck ratio, you might want to stick with their Ultra Cells. Could these be used for Skiing backcountry and trees in deep snow?

No way man!

@@vytas5584 I eventually figured out why that was a bad idea. It's a choice between broken knees and broken hips. I'd rather increase my skills and maybe break a knee than be bed-bound for months.
@dropsonic4 жыл бұрын
@@lorezyra I've consulted with a doctor about that. He said that the energy is dissipated all over the leg so the hip won't break that easily. Also, Leatt states that the braces will break before the bone.

Hello, The videos were very useful for me. I ride motocross 3 times a week and in winter I spend a lot of time with skis in the Freestyle Park. Can you recommend me one of the top orthoses ?
@RevZilla4 жыл бұрын
Asterisk would be a great brand to look at for motorcross if it is within your price range. Leatt is also a great brand that is a little bit easier on the wallet, but both are primarily designed for motorcross so you would be making design/comfort accommodations for Skiing. You may want to consider buying ski-specific knee braces as well, since you are looking to protect yourself. What knee brace would you recommend for a guy that has big legs?
@RevZilla6 жыл бұрын
Depending on your knee/thigh measurements, I'd go with Asterisk or Mobius. Each brand has a slightly different way of measuring for size. -DrewZilla *www.revzilla.com/asterisk *www.revzilla.com/mobius

Ridiculous set of products. Easier to have your legs amputated and install mechanical body parts.

Dang, What a mess! I think I'll accept some risk (as riding always is) and get riding jeans and maybe knee pads.

Try Leatt dual axes knee guards - golden , you can wear them under or over pants . i bought Kevlar Drayko Cargo pants / jeans - imo , totally useless waste of money . Knees & elbows need the guards . Pants do nothing .
