Over 50 hours of rugged trail riding with the POD K8 and They rock. Had plenty of spills and knees are still in good shape. Definitely worth the $.

Just simply can't find pants to fit with these Asterisk braces. I thought Mobius were tough to fit into pants but they are impossible. I even went 2 sizes up on Leatt, Klim Mojave (in boot and out), Moose Sahara, TLD SE, LEatt GPX 5.5. All of the pants feel very restrictive when bending your knees riding trails and hare scrambles etc. Awesome braces just impossible to fit into a durable riding pant for me. 5'11, 185, 33 waist in jeans and more of a soccer player leg build. If you can suggest pants to try I'm all ears. Great vid brother!!

Hey David ! Thanks for reaching out ! Sorry to hear about the struggles though, I'd say most of us that ride here actually use Asterisk braces, personally I've have a few different pairs over the last 10 years. I have worn Fox 360, Troy Lee GP, bu usually wear Oneal Hardwear and have plenty of room. I'm same size as you too, just a few inches taller ! I hope that helps, although a few models do have a tighter fit such as the Seven pants, I haven't personally had an issue with the models I mentioned I've worn : )

About same height and size as you. The Seven mx ZERO Raider pant size 34 fit amazing with knee braces and give you full flex in every direction

How do you prevent the braces from ripping your riding pants?

Hi, is possible to wear those knee braces over jeans while commuting? Is there a equivalent that can protect to the same extent the knee and shin but for street or is not needed? Thank you in advance for your recommendation

Same question. Any help would be appreciated..

You can wear them.over jeans but the sizing would be bigger, so you wouldn't have the best fitment on your actual leg should you want to wear them under.

I normally wear super stretch skinny fit jeans when I ride and wear knee guards over them. However I had a crash 2 months ago where I fractured my tibia plateau and now I need more protection for sure. Can these be worn on top of the jeans? I have tons of MX pants but the jeans are just so much more comfortable.

would you recommend for someone who's patella tends to slip out of socket. I've blown out my left about 4 times and its got to the the point where it slips out of socket every 2 to 3 months my Doctor has suggested surgery but with the lack of funding i'm unable to do so so he suggested Knee braces that supports the Patella to keep in place

I tore my quad tendon a couple years ago but I want to get back into snowboarding.. I want something to stop my knee from twisting/hyperextending and with these braces they protect your knee from impact too... Would you recommend these kind of braces for snowboarding/skiing for a cripple like me 😂
@xburtonboardnx5 жыл бұрын
Short answer: yes. Source: used the brace for moto, snowboarding and wake boarding.

I’m new to all this. I’m wanting to get a pair for my dual sport. I plan on wearing them on the road to and from the trails. Would I still need knee armor over these or do these offer impact protection as well
@Johnnyoz753 жыл бұрын
You don't need any extra protection over these. The knee armour is in the brace. I own the POD K8's.

The inner of my knees are arthritic. I also have a 5° misalignment in my knee. I now have custom orthotics to help take the pressure off the inner knee. I tried the pods and a couple others. The Asterisk ultracell 3.0 fit the best for my circumstances. As far as full arthritic knees go, the braces will help with lateral and hyperflex movement but I think you would still need a tight low profile elastic bandage around the knee to provide support. Perhaps apply the bandage first, then try out fitment.

Do I find braces that raises the body slightly in order to reduce friction in knee joints please?
@SLP-eb1wp4 жыл бұрын
That doesn't exist
@udimwitt98884 жыл бұрын
Even though the prices were way off the chart.. I was wondering if these are for walking more so than bike riding? I am looking for support for a arthritic left knee as it collapses on me sometimes and becomes awfully sore when walking short distances.
