Thorin's point about IGL's who are awpers still being able to frag is great. Calling for your team while being scoped in on angles and still consistently hitting shots takes a different level of brainpower than an IGL who just uses an AK as his primary weapon

Gla1ve and Elige are the only two from the old Astralis v Liquid rivalry going to the first cs2 major, and they arguably made the riskiest career moves where finances were not a guarantee. Very impressive. Valve should have updated their seeding rankings, but these teams don’t have an excuse, especially liquid.

Simple is a narrative juggernaut, he is media king. He turns Falcons from a not very intersting team tol an intersting one. So many questions, like Simple vs Zywoo, Simple vs Donk, can simple work outside of navi, can Snappi or zonic handle that toxic personality

Great vid as always, guys, thx. 1 ting concerning S1mpls, u did not mention: S1mple can be very toxic. Maybe many teams will not wellcome him with open arms, even if they could get him... for team sports, a rly toxic teammate can be absolutly devastating.... maybe its not only S1mple that is assessing Falcons, maybe its the other way around too. We as spectators love S1mple, his skills, his personality, great for entertainment - but maybe not great for team play. Personnally, I'm not concerned about his lvl, he is very skilled still, and it will - maybe eventually - show.

I can't believe Astralis, Team Liquid, NIP, fnatic, MIBR, OG, Gamer Legion, Grayhound, Tyloo, all failed to make it to the first CS2 major!!!!!! There are so many underdogs in this competition, I absolutely love it! Thank you VALVE!

Yeah well s1mple was struggling in that match and the community over reacted. The loss wasn’t because he underperformed, he had new positions and team. I just wish that s1mple gets his will and discipline back to grind back to his level.

I agree with Thoorin, Astralis will be fine as they still have a lot of revenue coming in from their endorsement deals. However, for the lower tier teams such as Grayhounds (who disbanded just after failing to make it to the majors) will be hurting and most likely cease operations. They don't have the endorsement streams, and winning in the smaller lan events aren't enough to pay overhead costs.

I hope the liquid players don’t go too hard on themselves since they really got scammed by the Swiss format. Just like g2 dropped out of the major I hope liquid come back stronger and prove that their project can work. They just need to boot camp more in EU as it’s not like they have that many tournaments to play anyways.
