In 1999, I was taking community college night classes and one was World Religions; a once a week, 3hr class. The professor started each class by asking who wanted their daily Horoscope read. He read from the same newspaper to be consistent. Most people said that they related to all or the majority of the things he read. On the last day of the class, right before we took our final, he asked who wanted the final Horoscope reading. He also told us that after someone volunteered each week and gave their sign, HE PURPOSEFULLY READ A DIFFERENT ONE. Still love this lesson to this day. His point was not to say that it was rubbish, but that all the different religions of the world have deeply held, sacred beliefs that guide them in their own lives. If one person finds comfort in the words of the Bible, another the Qur'an, still others from Confucius... etc.... Astrology is just another belief that guides people. Cheers.

I went to a small midwestern college, and one of my friends was the editor of the newspaper. She wasn’t into astrology. She also wrote the astrology section and would absolutely just make stuff up. Some of my favorites were telling certain signs to avoid spicy food on certain days

It's real. Always has been. That's where the term lunatic comes from. I've got firemen and first responders and hospitalists all over my family and friends and none of them are superstitious but they will all say that the full moon always is more crazy and tons more calls and problems. The full moon dies impact things, but that doesn't mean superstitions are real.

I worked at Skyline so every full moon there were angry customers threatening our servers and staff, tons of orders over $200, crazy amounts of carry outs, and our regular homeless guy spraying water on our windows with a squirt gun. I've also had people tell me that my astrology is a red flag, ask if I want to end the date early since we're incompatible because "I'm only compatible with [astrology sign], [astrology sign], [astrology sign]" I got to the point that I put it in my profile on dating apps so that people just wouldn't message me if it's a problem. I always said I’m not religious about astrology, I think of it as more of a tool to understand how people may be inclined in aspects of who they are or how they might react. It’s like a loose guidelines in which you can view someone. I almost hate talking about it because I don’t want people to think I’m one of those crazy people that’s just reading the newspaper and like oh yeah that’s so me.. but I feel the effect of the full moon, so I don’t discount it completely. I just think it’s interesting.
