Good to see Kikuchi get some run support on an off night. Blanco out of the BP was a good call, let our guys get some rest even though we still used Abreu for an out. Wtf was with Gamel letting that ball drop in the outfield though? It looked like he could have gotten to it and just gave up, that's the second time I've seen him do that.

Bad read on the ball so he pulled up not wanting to let it get by him. A play he probably could have/should have made, but it's better to take a single on a ball you didn't pick up well, than last second try to make up too much ground and it ends up getting by you.

He's not a natural outfielder, and these kind of plays where a born outfielder will hustle to the max, a non outfielder will play it safe. What surprises me is that normally RF are natural fielders due to the long, accurate throws they need to make to 3rd... Except if you have a hell of a hitter and no place to get him in the line up. You give some outs up in exchange for hits or extra bases. What I feel though, is that Gamel is not that kind of hitter that is worth sacrificing outs for. Anyways, it is good to keep all players active and contributing, it is absolutely needed by the time the play offs arrive.

@@grandwonder5858 The Astros are 7-0 in games he started but Kikuchi only gets credit for four of them because the Astros were losing or lose the led when he left so he doesn't get the win add it to his season record. That's how wins are tracked in baseball

Whichever can get right by the playoffs. Cuz Blanco hasn't been himself for the last 2 months now, he's not exactly a for sure playoff starter at this point.

He certainly deserves to continue to try to work back to where he was the first half of the year, but he's been kinda off for like 2 months now. Over 4.00 ERAs in July and August. He's thrown a career high in innings and it's showing. They're trying to give him an opportunity to rest a bit by not making him start and throw 100 pitches, but bullpen allows him to try to work on his command and mechanics to find his form again.

Damn, so much hate for Julia, or women in general. Is it weird to hear a females voice (all game), a little. Is it weird to hear Julia's, no. We hear her all the time. The only thing that's weird is to not hear TK. The games where Kevin was in the booth with Blummer or Bagwell was more depressing. Despise the way Kevin says Mauricio's name. Would rather hear Julia and the way she got excited over Pena's homer in the booth. Eschenfelder is for Bases Loaded, not the booth, at least to me. Give Julia a break, it's not easy to do that job coming from a sideline reporter type of position. Especially not easy for a woman to do it and none of yall making it any easier with these type of comments. She did a great job filling in, just lacked a *little* confidence. On to a brighter note, the game was incredible. Jose with a jack, Chas producing, Bregs and Tuck are both back, Yordan yesterday with 2 bombs. Pena even got in on the action again today. Things are looking great, guess that's why yall are looking for something to complain about and Julia is just catching a stray...

Some of yall being unreasonable. And Kevin is a good commentator, not knocking his professionalism. Just the way he says certain words irks me. I have misophonia, so certain sounds, words or even pronunciations trigger it. Had to watch half of the last Kevin game in silence.
