Yes, I totally agree and think the same thing. He is my favorite player now he has been clutch so many times and no one has been talking about it. I want to go buy a jersey with his name on it. We need to show him some more love. I know when he pitched hit in one of the playoffs they were saying he hadn’t swung a bat since Obama was president or something and I thought it was funny at the time, but he just wasn’t given the shots he deserved

he is not a good hitter against lefties but should be in there against right-handers and is a good bench bat for pinch hitting. very fun to watch

He's by far their best defensive first baseman and if allowed to play more often, his homers will improve as well as his average! Diaz does not impress me at first base...he never lays out for grounders and just doesn't play as well as Singleton!

He's a catcher by trade, only reason he plays 1st is because he's a really good hitter.

@@rudygarcia127 then you will understand it's not a natural position and you shouldn't expect amazing defense. If you want to evaluate Singleton and Diaz by defensive value alone then Diaz is a much better catcher than Jon is at 1st. And Diaz is a much better hitter than Jon.

definitely a conundrum. when he isn't slumping its great but i see your point. he's been one of the most frustrating players to watch the last month. to be fair though the offense has taken a nose dive recently so hopefully they get things figured out before october.
