Quite telling that the japanese dub kept O'Brien's screams in berserker form. Personally, my favorite is the one he lets out at the end of the segment, right after Olga gives the order to retreat. Combined with the body language, it's almost as if he's literally throwing his hatred at the fleet.

This is the definitive version of this sequence IMO. The English voice actor sounds a bit more masculine, and almost died recording this scene since he tore a vocal cord on set and started bleeding. Then paired with the Japanese version of the music where they incorporated the spoken lyrics, and not just the piano, causes conflicting emotions to the viewer. You’re witnessing a demigod absolutely lose his sh*t as his world crumbles around him and becomes a literal monster while this beautiful yet somber song plays in the background of this epic spectacle. This friction between audio and visual creates a feeling that can really resonate on a personal level and make this sequence that much more deeper. Love this video so much!

So, let me get this straight. Village girl get killed, and Asura sees this. At first, he's overwhelmed by grief, then anger, and then pure rage. He lets out a roar so powerful, *it destroys a couple ships IN SPACE.* And then goes on a brutal massacre of several ships, all because some village girl that looked like his daughter was killed. Now imagine what he would've done if it was daughter instead. That Chad would've broken the very space-time continuum and broke through the walls of every dimension just because he's *that pissed off.*
