Wonderful unboxing, This is a nice display, love ASUS gaming monitors. Just that they always seem to leave out key specs across there entire line-up. For example, this particular curved monitor should have been HDR600 or HDR1000 not DisplayHDR 400. Another example is the 1440p ASUS ROG Swift PG329Q, beautiful 32" gaming fast IPC monitor, just that it should have been min 100 ppi not 91-92 ppi, so depending on how close you sit viewing the monitor, you will see pixelation. BUT that monitor does have DisplayHDR 600. Just lacks the proper pixel per inch. So my question is both of these displays are missing key specs, lol The better display for best picture quality is the ASUS ROG STRIX XG349C 34" of course, but I would have purchased the 32" smaller ASUS ROG Swift PG329Q had it had the proper pixel per inch.

Does this monitor make any weird noises like coil whine? Also does it have one of those annoying built in fans?
@frederikruysseveldt71069 ай бұрын
Yes and no. The coilwhine can be bypassed if you turn of the monitor audio ( who uses those anyway )

This was pretty good! Nice display of what comes in the package and viewing the menu. I'm torn between either this monitor or the LG 34GP83A-B, even with the comparison video's out there...

had the LG. it's nice. honestly I'd avoid both for now though as Alienware is releasing the quantum dot OLED 34" ultrawide. but if you have a higher end card like a 3080 Ti, your best bet is to get a 144hz 4k at this point. You can get the 32" gigabyte M32U for about the same price as this outdated ultrawide, and that will give you better resolution, 32" real estate at 16x9, better colour and faster response time. Can't comment on the Asus but came to this video when I was looking for options to compete with the LG 34GN950 (newest 180Hz version of the 83-A -- don't even consider it at full price - it's not worth it) Or grab one of the 38" Alienware AW3821DW while they're on sale. Significantly better all around, larger, better clarity and brighter than either the Asus or LG you mentioned for just a bit more money now that they're on sale, compared to the $2100+ price they were at previously.
