I saw the same thing you did. It really wasn't necessary despite what the host said about his users being "picky"? I thought the host was a bit on the annoying side actually. To be fair, I am comparing other videos I've seen JJ featured in with the likes of Paul over at Newegg and Ryan from PC Perspective and those seem to be more professional without the "casting couch" lol (did you notice the wear on the couch behind JJ?) and a dog.

Having the built-in wifi looks nice. However, I don't see any problems going with a vanilla Z97-PRO, either, especially if you're mainly looking at adding in a dedicated wireless-N adapter, or just want an ethernet-based connection.

bigmoney66b i ended up sending it back to the tech support of my retailer, they updated the bios so it would support haswell refresh and it worked. so i didn't have to buy a new motherboard. but the motherboard is pretty good, and the uefi is pretty nice. almost asus type of lvl. still next time i will buy a gigabyte or asus board if im not on a budgetXD

+Connor Haigh you get all this with the z97 pro wifi ac, for a little more than £150 though you get the wifi ac/usb 3.1 version of this motherboard.

Stay away from asus z97 pro series... The asmedia usb 3.0 controller is defective. I made a build with z97 pro wifi ac and I returned the first piece because the asmedia controller stopped to function. The second piece I got, after RMA is also defective. Asus probably did something really wrong with the circuit of this board. The strange thing is that I connected an asmedia usb 3 port with the hub of my monitor (Dell 2715H) and after shut down I noticed that my pc rebooted when I tried to switch of the monitor!!! After that I observed that the usb controller sometimes works and sometimes doesn't work and I don't know why. So if you want all of your usb ports to work, and don't observe strange phenomena don't buy this board... Shame on you Asus... :(

Ioannis Iosifidis It depends on what build you want to do. Gigabyte equivalent boards (asus and gigabyte are considered the most trustworthy) are equally priced, have some design flaws and they don't come with wifi + bluetooth which are excellent on this board. However, I didn't expect that defective asmedia usb controller. And to be honest I don't think it's the controller. There must be some kind of circuitry error... On my second asus board the asmedia usb 3 is not working after the first startup, but it works after a reboot!!!! Strange? Considering what I wrote above, it seems that the asmedia usb 3 controller is directly connected with the rebooting system, which I can't even believe it's happening. If you don't care about the wifi and bluetooth support and some design flaws, go for gigabyte z97x series.
