I saw this phone at Best Buy and it’s gorgeous. The screen is bright and the 720p resolution isn’t that bad (my Kindle tablet is much worse), the camera is very fast, the UI and performance is very snappy given the Snapdragon 430 chip. I’d definitely buy it, and $200 is a great deal.

I have this phone since November 2017 and so far so good. I specifically love its 5000 mah battery, it's very reliable especially when you're on travel and you need to have an extra camera phone for your monopad. Downside of having a super batt, matagal talaga ang charging, especially if you're using its own charger.

Hanapin nyo yong code nya bago kayo bumili 3 version yan 1080 720p... at yong isa 3gig ram yong isa 4gig ram... depende sa region po yan... yong sa gmsarena india version ata yong 4gb ram

question/ clarification... on this review its zenfone 4 max pro or zenfone 4 max?? as per gsmarena.com zenfone 4 max pro zc554kl has 720 x 1280 pixels (~267 ppi pixel density) and the zenfone 4 max zc554kl has a resolution 1080 x 1920 pixels (~401 ppi pixel density) im a bit confused :)

Not sure about the twin cameras. When I tried the wide angle mode, the default setting was at 2MP with 16:9 aspect ratio and 5MP for 4:3.

Since you have A zf4 max .does it have audio issue's when it comes to headsets. Cause the original asus zfmax does..when you plug a headset, even with the maximum volume its still not enough..let's say from 1 to 10 .10 to be the maximum level of the sound. The asus zfmax its simply about 5.. Does asus zfmax 4 have that issue...?

Can anyone please respond to this? How's the usb port durability? So far, with the 2 zenfones I had, all the problems I encounter was their usb ports not working after a few months of use. Like it can't be read by any laptop or pc's and having troubles on charging them. And that's one of the huge problems with zenfones because their batteries aren't removable. And even though I am very careful with unplugging usb cables, this always happens to me. The phones themselves are still working fine up to now, but their usb ports are too much of a hassle for me to bother with. Though I'm still looking forward to buying a new zenfone. Also, can this be considered an upgrade for a Zenfone 3 Laser or a downgrade?

The resolution is OK for me since it improves the battery life. But the processor is a bit slow indeed, and what I find most disappointing is the lack of 5 Ghz support and the fact that you can't remove the battery.

Bought this phone. Front camera is good but the rear is horrible. The rear cameras are like those of the local brands, very disappointing. Speakers and earphones are also disappointing. I have Zenfone 5, the resolution, rear camera, speaker and earphones are much better.

It has audiowizard but it's also not good. For the music, I use the equalizer of VLC just to improve the sound.

I just bought yesterday pero sa store mismo, sa phone store lang sa SM Cyberzone. 9995 din. Nasa box yung Case at earphones. Depende din ata sa store kung may additional freebies, sakin nagtanong ako tapos binigyan ako Monopod (cheap nga lang ) HAHA. And kung ready naman yung Cash on hand sayo, dumiretso ka na lang sa Mall para mas sure ka baka may dagdag din na ibang freebies. Sa Lazada kasi, 1 pa lang yung seller ng Zenfone 4 Max.

That's the only thig stopping me from buying this fone, its mediocre UI. and does it have notification led? if it doesn't, then how is the user supposed to be aware about notifications? John Marvin de Leon Yes it has LED notification lights on the upper left corner of the screen. About the UI, To be honest, I was heavily concerned about it when I was thinking about buying this phone. But surprisingly the UI isn't bad at all. (My last phone was a MIUI device) The notification tray is very simple and easy to get used to. The phone is also highly customizable. You can change fonts right out of the box, without rooting. It also supports tap to wake/gesture to wake, and double tap to lock. (Feature comes with the phone) I am overall very happy with the ASUS, regardless of what people say about the UI.
