Insane indeed ! This inspired me to test wireless backhaul speed on my Deco BE65, and got the full 2.5 Gbps (dont have anything with a faster NIC) too. Wifi-7 is really superb !

Yes, it truly is!

Your channel always has some great useful content! Is there any difference in speed if my mesh network is 3 nodes? BTW, setup a donation link for the channel.
@landpet2 күн бұрын
Thanks! 3 nodes just increases the wifi coverage, so if you live in a larger home and 2 isn't cutting it, then go-to 3. Having too many too close to each other is not good either. So you want to find the right balance. I've been considering making a patreon or KZbin channel memberships but haven't done anything yet.

that's awesome. once this or the bq16 come down in price I'll upgrade from the xt9. (which I got after watching your reviews)

XT9 is still great!

Thanks for showing the diagram. I'm not an expert and now I understood how to make the installation. Just place an order for the router and the mesh system.

I'm in the UK and have been using the XT8 for many years now, waiting for affordable Wi-Fi 7 kit to come from Asus and it's frankly ridiculous that we had to wait so long for the BT10 and now we're waiting for the cheaper BT8 which seems to have been out for ages in some markets. I have no reason why Asus are so slow at shipping products they announce, and they've got form for this with Chromebooks and other products in the past. There's also been such little coverage besides the content you put out, which almost makes me wonder how many people are still buying Asus kit - especially as, again in the UK, there are very few places selling it. It's a real shame because Asus doesn't make you pay for all the very useful services and by and large they've always been highly reliable for me.

They do make great products, I don't know much about the availability of products in various regions

Thanks for the analysis! I need some advice: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?

Whats the distance of the wireless backhaul and is there any significant blockage such as concrete wall?
@derrysan2 күн бұрын
Same question from me.
@landpet2 күн бұрын
About 25 ft or so. A couple drywalls and a furnace. Nothing significant like a concrete wall
@ljonathan9912 күн бұрын
Where is the other wireless ASUs mesh ? What is the distance is it behind any walls ?
@landpetКүн бұрын
About 25ft away (2 drywalls in between)

Just to clarify Dont need a wifi 7 device to take advantage of a wifi 7 mesh if connected via LAN But if connected wirelessly.. connected via wifi.. then wifi 7 device compatibility is needed (need a wifi 7 capable device to take advantage)
@Yakena12 күн бұрын
It doesn't matter as you are getting this for the wireless backhaul which is faster than any wifi6 speeds. You can max out your wifi6 to the router and have no worry about the backhaul as it has plenty of additional headroom.

@@Yakena1 i do not understand, but ok thank you.

The simplified answer is that WiFi 7 is being used between the two ASUS BT10 devices to communicate with each other since the ASUS BT10 is a WiFi 7 Mesh. That ensures they have really fast speeds between each other. Now other devices that don't support wifi 7 like my Mac can connect to it via WiFi 6E or older standard. But If I connect my ethernet from my mac mini to the ASUS, then it's going wired to ASUS, then One ASUS to the other is using WiFi 7, then the other ASUS is going to the internet via ethernet again. So I'm utilizing WiFi 7 to speed up my Mac Mini which I was demonstrating here.

@landpet i seem to understand. So what i first commented was correct then? (i guess).. basicly, because of the wireless backhaul of wifi 7 mesh (whivh takes advantage of wifi 7 tech) you enable non wifi 7 devices (connected via ethernet to one node) to reach its max internet speed (with LAN port and internet speed plan in consideration) 1] In your case, enabling your device to reach 5Gbps even if it is a wifi 6e device because it has 10Gbps LAN port 2] So if i have an internet plan of 5Gbps (jusy an example) and i have a wifi 7 capable mesh router that has 10Gbps LAN port.. and my Laptop's LAN port is only capable of 2.5Gbps.. with this connection/technique, via LAN.. i will reach max 2.5Gbps.. because of Laptop bottle neck correct? 3] and if i have an internet plan of 5Gbps (jusy another example) and the same wifi 7 capable mesh router that has 10Gbps LAN port.. and my Laptop's LAN port is capable of 10Gbps.. with this same connection/techniqie, via LAN.. i will reach max 5Gbps.. internet speed bottleneck correct?

I think BT6 would have sufficed as we don't need a 4x4 on a 5Ghz or 6Ghz range IMO
@landpetКүн бұрын
I haven't played with the BT6, I don't think it's available everywhere yet
