you can listen to records on it as well. It comes with an adapter that you can plug spakers into it and listen to music through speakers or a phono output. Audio-Technica makes great stuff, I have had two of their turntables (one of them being this one) and a few of their headphones. Great customer service as well. I would HIGHLY recommend them!

The AT-LP60-USB turntable may be used with a pair of stand-alone speakers, as long as the speakers are self-powered. This type of speaker is typically referred to as a “powered” or “active” type. At least one of the speakers would need a power source, such as an AC wall outlet, in order to operate. Look for models that have either a pair of RCA type (one for the Left channel and one for the Right) or a single 3.5 mm (1/8 inch) stereo mini-jack type input jack(s).
@AudioTechnicaUSA12 жыл бұрын
Yes, the 3.5 mm Aux jack does qualify. We provide an adapter cable with the turntable that will adapt the two RCA phono plugs to a single 3.5 mm stereo plug. This plug should be inserted into this Aux jack, and the turntable's internal preamplifier should be turned on (the switch on the rear should be in the LINE position).
@AudioTechnicaUSA13 жыл бұрын
Yes you can. Use the Dual RCA (female) to 3.5 mm (1/8") mini-plug (male) stereo adapter cable that is supplied with the turntable to connect it to the "Audio In" jack on the rear of the SoundDock. Note that Bose states the iPod must be removed from the dock before another sound device can be played through it.

The Cartridge on the AT-LP60-USB (and AT-LP60) Turntable is not replaceable. It is an integral part of the tone arm. It is glued and pressed into place. Only the stylus can be replaced. Due to the tracking force requirements of the turntable, about 3.0 grams, we recommend the stylus be replaced with the same model stylus only. The stylus model is ATN3600L, and it is designed specifically for this tracking force.
@AudioTechnicaUSA11 жыл бұрын
Make certain you place the switch on the rear of the turntable to the LINE position for this application. This engages the turntables built-in phono preamplifier which will amplify the signal to a useable level and apply the RIAA equalization curve needed to play records.
@electrotech7418 жыл бұрын
This turntable sounds great! I uploaded some LP's I recorded with audacity on my Mac Pro at the highest settings 96000 Hz 32-bit PCM. AT told me the USB connection is the best signal compared to hooking it to line in to an AV receiver then to the Mac (which I did in the past with an regular MCS turntable and a Pioneer Elite VSX-24TX). I'd have to agree. The only improvements I'd suggest are a clip to lock the tone arm in place when not in use (even my old 1980's sharp Stereo had that ; ). It can come off too easy if you bump it. And the hole for the 45 adapter should be deeper or have a spindle. It can get unseated to easily also. Otherwise it's got it where it counts. I'd also suggest using record and stylus cleaning brushes.

@CutlerDabears Yes, you can play 10" records at 331/3 RPM on the AT-LP60-USB. Do not press Start. Instead, use Manual Operation as follows: 1. Remove the stylus guard from the stylus assembly 2. Put a record on the turntable
@AudioTechnicaUSA13 жыл бұрын
@GTASA911 Yes, Audio-Technica offers two types of turntables with LP60 in the model number: the AT-LP60-USB, which is equipped with a USB output for direct connection to your computer; and the AT-LP60, which does not offer a USB output.
@AudioTechnicaUSA13 жыл бұрын
@CutlerDabears 3. Select the size of record: 7" (Select 7" since we don’t have a 10" option; that way if you accidentally hit the start button, the stylus will come down on the record, not the mat.) 4. Select the speed: 331/3 RPM 5. Press the Lift button IN to raise the tone arm 6. Gently move the tone arm so the stylus is over the point on the record where play is desired to begin. 7. Press the Lift button again to gently lower the tone arm and play record.

I've had this for almost two years, and for some reason my mom took it apart when she sent it to me. When I try to put the turntable platter on, it scratches against the motor pulley when I try to turn it. I can't get it on right for whatever reason that I can't figure out and it's so frustrating.

When I have a record playing on this the needle sounds like it's scratching the record a little. I can only hear it when the speakers are turned down. Hi there! The listed stereo receiver appears to have multiple RCA LINE Level inputs on the rear of the receiver which would allow you to use the turntable’s included RCA cable to attach to. As you are connecting to a LINE level input on your receiver, put the RIAA phono preamp switch on the rear of the turntable to LINE. my lp60 spins at 34.4rpm, not 33.3. so the pitch of the records is adjusted slightly but very noticeable. so noticeable that minor key songs are now in major! is there a way i can change the speed back to 33.3rpm? i've had it for about a year and a half, so there's no way the belt can be worn out. help!

if you look at the bottom of the turntable, there should be two holes, one labeled 33 and the other 45. These are for adjusting the speed. Use a small, flat screwdriver to adjust until you get your desired speed. (Clockwise is faster, Counterclockwise is slower) The holes are blocked with rubber, but the screwdriver should be able to push through. Hopefully this helps a bit

Speed is way out of whack straight out of the box. Adjustment screws are on the freakin bottom. They are covered with rubber. You can't see them and I can't get a screwdriver on them since I can't see them. Adjusting the speed almost impossible. I don't expect to have to spend 20 friggin hours adjust ing a turntable straight out of the box. Pretty unrealistic expectation. Massive fail, AT. massive. I do not recommend this tt to anyone. Mine is going straight back to Best Buy for a refund. I will gladly spend more to have something that works out of the box. Complete garbage.
