Port Clinton, PA (mi. 1220.4) to Stealth tent site (mi. 1237.5) Great weather day today to hike: sunny, not too warm, and low to no humidity. Had a great breakfast at the hotel before I left, and definitely had enough snacks to get me through the day from my mail drop 😂 . A bunch of people stopped at about the 15 mile mark today at a shelter, but the weather was just perfect and I am finding I really enjoy hiking between five and seven at night. I found a sweet stealth spot right near the trail that had a fire ring just asking to have a fire started in it. Had a nice freeze dried meal and a dessert, and a great conversation with one of my daughters as she drove home from working in Millinocket for the day, ironically ha ha. I received a call from “Mighty Blue” late in the day wondering if I could help him out. The person he was supposed to interview for this week didn’t have great cell reception, so he wanted me to fill in for them. I didn’t mind at all, I could talk about the AT for days. He also asked me if I knew anyone out here he could add to the people he’s following for this year, I thought of two people right off and have reached out to them to see if they want to do it. Looking to do about 15 or so miles tomorrow, but as always, we will play it by ear 🙃
Todays menu: 3 bowls of Froot Loops, a large orange, cranberry juice, banana muffin, beef stew freeze dried meal, gatorade protein bar, Cliff bar, extra large snickers bar, small bag of honey stinger energy chews, a quantum energy square bar, a cinnamon protein sweet roll, granola with blueberries almonds & milk freeze dried meal, and water with Mio additive.
