Some have kids as well. I feel like the odd one out as more of an introvert, because they have endless energy, and I'm exhausted trying to keep up.

I think cool in this context just means keeping up with the current trends. In that case, I think that stopped for me around 28. I will occasionally get into a current trend or pop culture relevancy but, for the most part, I don’t know as much as I used to about what’s going on in music and popular media.

As a gen z person I don't associate cool with age. however younger ppl tend to be more in the know whereas Its less likely that you're cool when you're older cuz you get a little more resistant to change and I believe knowing culture/ trends/ slang are what ppl consider being cool but there's ppl my age who are less cultured than some 50y/o's

"Cool" is a word I detest, like fex "modern". Both are words to use while you can't find a more precise positive adjective. Smart persons avoid such expressions until they find the right words, thus retaining respect from other smart persons. "Modern" is even worse, it's a sales pitch for marketers who lack any effective arguments.
