Unreal performance! I think it's almost unfair to them to label them "JPop" just because they're from Japan. AG is just AG... they are unapologetically themselves always... they will perform any genre, dance any dance, sing any song... they're so creative and put everything they have into whatever they do, and I don't know how, whether this is "your type of music" or not, you watch this and don't at least appreciate them, if not get fully and completely lost in it!! Incredible show!! So proud of these girls and how far they've come!!

I‘m listening to any type of Japanese music for over 20 years and I don‘t think J-Pop is the right genre to put them into. Atarashii Gakko has their own style as they use so many different genres and influences in their songs. For example, their song „Fantastico“ was influenced by Italian disco music from the 80s, while sung in made-up gibberish. It‘s so damn catchy and definitely not J-Pop. Or „Koi no Shadanki“, which is more Jazz genre.

Plus their choreography is super top notch. I also love how they incorporate various musical styles and make it their own. The mark of true artists.

I lean towards 80s/90s punk and hip-hop myself. AG has some hip-hop songs (like this one), but I can still dig some of their other stuff. And yeah, their live performances add something to the enjoyment, similar to another Japanese group, Band-Maid (who have a few songs that are right here in that punk feel I like), who, like AG, look like they are having a blast during their live performances.

"Not really my style of music" Did anyone ask?
@jinggaddi7 ай бұрын
@@DustyKneezz That's known as "laying down the predicate." Lawyers use it to establish a point before asking a specific question to a witness. It can also be used as a writing technique to establish a scenario before making a point. Here, I used the phrase "not really my style of music" as a prelude to my point of praising the music of AG! Judging from the number of likes on my comment, looks like many understood what I meant. Please learn this useful writing technique to avoid making haphazard comments like, "Did anyone ask?"
